I rather think its Ramos limitations as a manager. Ramos might be the type that on short term can give a boost as did for Gifu, but on long term his nonsense methods are dangerous for the players on the roster. I hope Gifus new owner is not blinded by the Ramos as an J-League Icon from 1993 and sees he must leave. Anyway with the money floating around in football in Tokai region lately that wont be a problem to find a decent replacement (Suzuka Rampole got a new rich owner a couple of month ago too).
Don't know, it's possible, but the team played pretty nicely in the matches that I saw this summer. I'd give him another go
Yokohama FC CEO Kitagawa has offered Kazu an extension on his contract on more than one year....... Seems like Yokohama FC wants the publicity about Kazu playing until he is 50 (today 47) They wont even exclude that he can get up til 10 years extension so he can come in the guiness records as the oldest playing pro footballer ever....... what a joke... http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20141110-00000002-spnannex-socc
It's been like this for the past 10 years for Kazu, why would they not do it if rewards more than it costs.
True but now saying he can get a 10 years extension so he can beat the world record....... sorry thats mocking on football...... I really hopes Kazu has the decency to realize that people are laughing more at him than admiring his play. The real problem is most of the national media still imagines its the year 1993 when J-League started. Yokohama FC falling for the sponsor money from LEOC and forgetting about the sport. Really this could all be solved by giving Kazu the post as manager for Yokohama FC instead.
He doesn't play much anymore so I don't really see what's the fuss. If Kazu wants to keep the circus going, might as well cash on it. It doesn't bother me in my daily life tbh.
Unless you are a Trinita fan, go out of your way to catch the last five minutes of Oita-Mito. One of the most exciting finishes to a match this year and one of the best goals you'll see in the country in 2014. I think a lot of Yamagata and Chiba fans cheered that goal as much as Mito supporters.
Kazu listed for "J2 Exciting 22". Really deserved after his fantastic season. http://web.gekisaka.jp/news/detail/?151324-151324-fl
Despite losing their match 0-2 at home against Yamagata, Jubilo locked one of the play offs spots, as there are only 3 points seperating them from Oita, but Oita has an inferior goal difference and almost need a miracle to overcome Jubilo. So the remaining two spots will be 3 teams fight between JEF, Yamagata and Oita, so there will be no new faces in J1 except Matsumoto Yamaga. Fagiano Okayama had a chance to snatch a play offs spot if they kept their lead against Roasso Kumamoto, but a last minute equaliser ended any chance they had for promotion. Meanwhile FC Gifu finally remember how to win as they defeated already promoted Matsumoto Yamaga 3-1.
If everything stays as it is now (the most likely scenario IMHO) the only semi-final to be played will be JEF vs Montedio on November 30th. The very same teams will also play on the very same pitch in the semi-final of Emperor's Cup on November 26th. Love this.
Both Vegalta and Cerezo exceeded 100 points in 2009—106 and 104, respectively. But that was a 51-game season, by far the longest in J2 history. Sanfrecce managed to get exactly 100 pts from 42 games in 2008. And Frontale have collected 104 points from 44 games in 2004.
