Alex Samizadeh (17) has made the final squad of Bolton Wanderers main team for the first time.

He's on the bench against Reading.

Hopefully he will make his debut soon, he seems exceptionally talented. Too bad Bolton are likely to be relegated to League One.

    Club: Bolton Wanderers U-18
    Age: 17
    Nationality: Iran
    Position: Center Forward

He came in at the 85th min apparently. Only 17 years old and made his debut in the English Championship already, extremely promising!

That was a well-created goal. Aesthetically pleasing.

    Saman Ghoddos is a CM?

He is a MF-SS but Gucci is a better SS, so he was used just to fill the DMF/AMF. Beita is also a RB but I used him at CB position.

Championship mate not champions league :D and come on bro no need to provoke them unnecessarily to start shit again. Arzeshesho nadare, there is no rivalry/competition between us and them for most Iranian fans, we know where we stand. Just like most Koreans don't give about Chinese/Thai fans that provoke them

But indeed it's very promising for a 17 years old, even if he played in League one at his age. Bolton fans look to be hyping the hell out of him

Yes Championship league. Shipesh ja oftad. Na baba, hoselye araghia ro nadaram. I was just wondering. The Australian midfielder, Massimo Luongo was playing in league one too. He was really good in AC 2015 and transferred to Championship side QPRs. No pain no gain.

I always thought Gucci was a poacher type. Is he more of a strong, physical forward who can hold the ball, or more of a finesse playmaker?

That would be more corresponding to Ansarifard who can be a mix of target man and advanced forward , Gucci is more of a poacher exactly as you said but his stupid English club sometimes plays him as a winger so...

Following him since 2012 or so I can give my own observation watching him here and there. Zjoon might give you a better opinion, since he is following them more closely. I think Gucci used to run good back in 2013 and slowly he lost his form specially during his time in Persian gulf leagues in Qatar and Kuwait. In my opinion he is a combination of both. He is definitely a poacher type, but he shows some semblances of second striker-play maker type of footballer. For example his goal against UAE or Iraq in AC were from his poacher nature, his goal against S.Korea also showed his physically fitness type. His assist vs Sweden shows his play making nature. I say his opportunist/poacher quality is dominant but he has good second striker and some play making quality left in him as well.

Edit: Zjoon. You beat me to this! haha.:)

Crazy how he's gone from our incontestable starter and key player to our 3rd/4th choice striker btw... it's more of a good thing of course our other younger strikers stepped up

I'd still use him in more crucial games where finishing will be important

It was imminent to have more forwards coming. I always counted on Karim Ansarifard and Payam Sadeghian to grow to something great. Ansarifard blunder in Osa and Sadeghian debacle in Persepolis and U23 completely disappointed me. It was a time for other players to come out of the dark and claim the spot.

Still out of our four strikers only Azmoun came to show something new. Ansarifard only came back to reclaim his position. I am still not sure about Taremi. The guy has no capacity for fame. I am afraid he will lose it somewhere along the line and disappear. Taremi is good second striker/play maker. Kave Rezaei and other invatees didn't show potentials so as you said we still need Gucci around.

It seems the older age is getting the best of Gucci now. I guess we need him in a match against a team with ultra defensive system or a team with equal weight so he can tap in a goal and change the final outcome. He is similar to a guy long time ago I used to watch when Ali Daei was in Bundesliga. If you remember Olaf Marshal. I was very young back then. (my older brother used to say olaf mokht khor):)

Did anyone know Draxler and Dejagah were friends? I recently noticed Draxler follows Dejagah on instagram and they mentioned each other, yes they are related to Wolfsburg but they never really played with each other so I find it unusual :D

Does anybody have any news about, Iranian-German LB, Shervin Rajabali-Fardi? He got injured last summer and then he went out of radar.

He is clubless since July 2015, it could be that he quit football altogether. His career was plagued by heavy injuries.
