That game is again the lead story on the frontpage today (plus another page within - there is more on the reserve game than on Eintracht's game at St. Pauli today, although it's focused entirely on the riot angle) - the excuse is, that Hannover fans vandalized a train after their last away game ("Gewaltexzess", "Ein Bild der Verwüstung"). The message seems to be: "would you panic already, pretty please?"
As a footballer he is great for a mid-table Bundesliga team, his injury was a step back for as (mainly because it came amidst a number of crucial injuries.
It looking grim for 96 right now. The last 4 games will be: Wolfsburg - 96 96- Bremen Augsburg - 96 96 - Freiburg Still, relegation wouldn't be that bad for me personally. When I fell for 96, they were playing in the Regionalliga. I guess I could also afford to go to more games since the tickets will be cheaper.
Was hoping Michael Frontzeck would somehow save the club and get another chance in the top flight...the 1-1 was a good start for him...untill the late goal was scored
I'll be pretty disappointed if we are relegated. I will finally have a chance to watch them regularly on Fox next season here in the US but certainly not if they drop
Honestly, 2. Liga is more fun. You are probably used to the Bundesliga by now, but let me tell you that down there it's still more refreshingly old-school (comparatively, at least) .
It's kinda crazy that we're still not on a relegation berth anyway - we're the 2nd worst club of all of Europe in 2015.
I still remember 1973 (I was a young exchange student in Lehrte) when Hannover finished 16th and thus missed the drop. I did not go to the game, but we were downtown--and the fans were going crazy. That and getting an NASL team that summer got me interested in pro soccer, though I ended up choosing Gladbach as my team (I liked Wolfgang Kleff). I wish 96 fans all the best. That last home game is crucial.
Uffe Bech has been playing some good football lately. Nice talented winger and has really stepped up since Kiyotake's absence.
Looks like Erdinc is likely to leave this winter. Andraz Spora is mentioned to be one of the top replacement options at the striker position. Midfield playmaker, Iver Fossum from Stromsgodset IF also on the transfer target list.
Interesting prospects. Good Luck. It is reported in Japanese media that Hannover is interested in Japan NT defensive midfielder Hotaru Yamaguchi.
