http://sports.sina.com.cn/z/newphoto/photo/26867/index.shtml this is a kind of super cup for C-league and who r the two team?
It was between Sichuan Jia A All-Star Team and China Jia A All-Star Team. It was probably some of kind exhibition match.
Pity about Shengqing Any chance you could get some videos of him greenlion when he plays? I'd like to keep track of how well he does.
China League - China Level 2 - Starts tomorrow~ Shanghai Sports will Show Shanghai Star VS Yanbian FC Live at 19:30 Top 2 sides moves to CSL 2007, while the Last place team of CSL 2006 relegates to China League 2007. Top 2 sides of Division 2 2006 promotes to China league 2007, and the 3rd place team to play China League bottom sides in Play-pffs most likely the promotion campaign will break out between Jiangsu,Zhejiang & Guangzhou
I'm hoping Nanjing will get off to a good start. Any chance of an update on how well Qu Shengqing does this weekend if he plays?
First half results Jiangsu 1-0 nanchang Zhejiang 1-0 Hongdeng Guangzhou 0-1 Hunan Guangzhou is lossing at home to a nearly bankrupted team~ that sucks~
Guangzhou finaly win !!!!!! who is the favorite for get promoted this season? and i have question who have no link with C-league. about the inter-port cup how they decide who play? coz i know guangzhou win the last one agaisnt HK
the favorite clubs are Guangzhou, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Honestly they could easily beat teams like Shenyang and Qingdao in CSL~ That's all because CFA's stupid league format which causes the Jia-B/China league has no promotion to Jia-A/ CSL in 4 or 5 seasons~ some of the China League sides actually has a decent squads like Wuhan and Zobon proved last season~ about the Inter-port cup, they are all friendly tournaments hold by the local government, like Hu-Gang Cup - Shanghai VS Hong Kong, Sheng-Gang Cup, Guangdong VS Hongkong, used to be Guangdong selection VS Hong Kong selection but Guangzhou played it this year.and Hong Kong VS Macau, Guangdong VS Macau, Shanghai VS Macau etc.
This team has changed names so many times over the past few years, I don't think it really matters anymore...
They all have little chance of going up most likely, but I'd like to see BaYi, Yanbian, or Beijing go up. The capital needs a local derby, Yanbian is so easy to like cos its such a great story, and 8.1 needs to get back to its old days, sad to see them wallowing. I guess having Nanjing in the top league would be nice too, would that be the first Jiangsu team in the top flight?
Is Bayi a real commericalized professional team now? Or are it's players still recruited from the army.
As far as I know, it doesn't recruit from the army, but its just stopped producing great players in both basketball and soccer over the past few years (look at Hao on the soccer side, Dazhi on the basketball side in the past). I think part of the problem is that there is some military training involved if you chose to join Bayi and I doubt they can offer the same salary scale as other teams. Beyond that, the soccer team is stuck now in Nanchang and the basketball team is in Hefei(?). Plus, they (obviously) don't allow any foreigners on the team.
It's not the old army club~ but a local Jiangxi club~ owns by some Shanghai company, when Ba Yi dismissed in 2004, Nanchang bought their Youth teams and organised a new club to play Division 2, they still use the name Ba Yi. http://www.nbhzq.com/ 南昌八一衡源足球俱乐部是以上海衡源企业发展有限公司、上海金贸资产经营有限公司、华东交通大学、上海闸北体育场、南昌八一体育场为股东,由原上海衡源足球俱乐部为班底,并购八一队原U-19(全运会年龄段)队伍,扎根江西,落户南昌,打造英雄城市的英雄球队。
After reading this Sinosoc article from August 2003, I thought the army had disengaged from the Bayi football club. Okay, greenlion just answered everything.
