I wish we knew what exactly caused the cardiac arrest. If he has a chance of coming back into football, it can't be something like hocom or some type of degenerative heart disease.
If he steps on a football pitch in a meaningful way again it will be one of the most remarkable medical events I can remember.
ugh, cobwebs. Won't be able to watch the WBA game, need sleep real bad. Hoping to wake up to a decent scoreline.
D-Day has arrived. A win is required as is the hope that City beat QPR. Whatever we think of this season it comes down to 90 minutes. 01 Bogdan 12 Knight 18 Ricketts 25 Boyata 32 Ream 07 Eagles 10 Petrov 16 M Davies 19 Reo-Coker 14 K Davies 17 Klasnic Substitutes 22 Jaaskelainen 03 Alonso 27 Lee 37 Vela 24 Ngog 29 Sordell 30 Miyaichi COYW!!!!
But he plays such refreshing, entertaining football and he's such a nice guy. Never mind he dropped four points in two games against shit teams with ********-all to play for when winning either one of those would keep us up.
And that's to say nothing of our total lack of defensive shape, our inability to close out games and the general desperation with which we've lurched through games all season. Owen's such a nice guy, why bother him with stuff like that when he's so well liked by fans and players? We'll do good to hold onto him, etc
I'm worried that he's so popular with a large portion of our fans that they just don't see the problems with Coyle. It's not unlikely that we could struggle next season, it all depends on who leaves and who comes in during the summer. The happy-clappy crowd are too busy slapping themselves on the backs over our impending(!) promotion. What's that thing about slow boiling a frog?
But then who could we replace him with? Another journeyman like Megson or Steve Bruce from that pool of mediocre managers who keep popping up when a job's vacant?
They're better than Coyle. I wouldn't have Megson back though. In other news NRC has left the club on a free.
