https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2019/01/16/la-galaxy-re-sign-midfielder-servando-carrasco Official for Carrasco. Interesting to note, DTK first word on what Feltscher add to the Galaxy is "depth". Maybe another RB is on his way?
Did he say that for Feltscher? From the article you posted he said that about Carrasco. “We are pleased to come to terms with Servando on a new contract,” said LA Galaxy Manager Dennis te Kloese. “His extensive MLS experience and knowledge of our team and organization will add a good layer of depth to our roster.”
Is Carrasco really the best we can do for a 3rd string CM? Seems like that's a spot where you can find a younger player to develop. He's not even versatile in the sense that you could put him out wide or play him at CB if necessary.
Looks like Nacho Fernandez is an option for @LaGalaxy... they have the money to pay the rescission clause.— Juan Arango (@JuanG_Arango) January 16, 2019
Sounds like a buyout clause. Functions effectively as a transfer fee except the team cannot refuse it. I know we need defenders, but he's not that old and so this is going to mean a lot of money.
Nacho Fernandez from real Madrid?? All players playing in Spain have a buyout clause but his contract expires in June 2020. Seems like you could negotiate that. Still seems like it would be a lot of TAM
From River Plate. Apparently he's an attacking mid who can also play out wide. I think we'll be linked with any player from Argentina whose rumored to be leaving for the foreseeable future.
Correct. The River Plate midfielder. GBS apparently tried to sign him when he was at Boca Jrs, so that could be where they are putting this rumor together. Here's a link to a story about this in Fox Deportes, but it doesn't sound very likely to happen http://www.foxdeportes.com/mls/stor...quiere-un-jugador-de-river-para-el-la-galaxy/
Yep. He played against us a few times in those friendlies back in the day Here is a highlight reel of him
Looks like we're going for the all out attack again this year. All guns blazing and just try to outscore the opposition. Romney and Steres, just go out and do your best, because it looks like you're our starting CBs.
Really interesting how this new management team is keeping a lot of our players from last year. I approve of not making wholesale changes to the roster. We've had enough turnover and need a more surgical approach. The consistency with Dom is part of these decisions, no doubt.
From this article : https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2019/01/15/la-galaxy-re-sign-defender-rolf-feltscher Also interesting, he's mentioning his versatility, something we didn't use last season. With Romney, Skjelvik, Feltscher, Polenta and Arellano all capable of playing LB, I don't expect more than one LB signing (and maybe none). If you want to feel better about Carrasco re-signing, just watch this goal : Without him, there may be no comeback. What a moment that was.
I trust defense reinforcements are coming. Every time there are quotes from our coach and GM there is an acknowledgement that this is the area to strengthen. I’m sure they are working on it.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...&utm_source=Twitter&__twitter_impression=true Cole to Derby County to join Lampard?
And maybe, more exciting news, the return of the Benedetto rumor : 1085932565977018370 is not a valid tweet id I would be OK to lose Ola only if we get Benedetto.
I am sure Dom had input as we lagged on getting a TD and coach. Training camp starts soon. Best to shed the bad contracts resign lower contracts and make moves that de kloese and GBS want in the summer when we have time to identify
Nacho Fernández was APPARENTLY requested by GBS. Dos Santos gone? To me, MUCH better player than Gio rn.— Juan Arango (@JuanG_Arango) January 16, 2019
