Isn't RA best on the left which is why Ema was playing on the right down the stretch or do I have that backwards?

That backline...woof. Looks better though with Polenta. Still need more capable hands in the back. I'd like a better goalie too but I guess it's not our biggest priority.

I'd probably shunt Romney to LB if we get Polenta.

I think Lleget needs to stay central. Maybe in the summer use the TAM money we're no longer paying Zlatan and bring in a winger, or just convince Uly Llanez to stay and tell him he's competing with Boateng for that spot.

Romain on the left and Boetang on the right would work and would allow both of them to get crosses and feed the big boys, ola and Zlatan. I think I still perfer Romain on the right becuase he can cut in and have a better shot.

Have we ever tried Boateng at left back? Just a thought.

From the 1st Div to 3rd Div. I have no idea why the Galaxy signed him last year. He played one game in preseason and wasn't heard from again. He wasn't good enough to be an MLS backup, nor was he young enough with a high enough potential to play with the GIIs and be developed. It's as if they never watched him play or tried him out first.

After watching Romain on the left side in the last five games or so, I certainly prefer him on the left in a 442. He was sending in amazing low crosses into the box from the left side that Ola was running onto.

I like this lineup but until we can straighten out our backline I'd rather have 2 dmids in the lineup I can trust with Juninho and JDS and would sub one for Boateng in the 2nd half as super sub who will destroy the other teams winger for pace.

I don't have the stats to prove it but my impression is that Romain is more likely to cross the ball and get an assist when playing on the left and more likely to get into the box and score when playing on the right. His first year with us he was crushing from the right side.

I feel like it comes down to formation. When we’re in a 433 or a 4231 I’m sure Romain’s game is best suited to play on the right and be a threat on goal. However when we’re playing a 442, I feel like his best spot is on the left delivering service to our two target strikers.

And here I was worried that we'd never learn our lesson at right back.

I like the incentive based contracts. If Feltscher has a great season, he deserves the pay bonuses.

Excellent. We now have our entire defensive second team signed up. Now to get to work on finding the starters....

I hope that one of the incentives is for him to play better defense.
