Would have liked to see him here too. Since he was part of the strongest soccer team U of M has ever fielded, I have followed him from college and saw him perform in the final four. He and Sunni Saad were a deadly pair at the college level.

Meram always seemed to score against the Gs too.

Hmmm... a 23yo left back who been playing in the Dutch 2nd division (was on loan from 1st division FC Twente). Listed as $2.3m value on Transfermarkt. Our brain trust looking for a Skjoiul replacement? Certainly hope so - the sooner the better.

I’m not sure if it’s too late but I feel like we need to sign Kobe Foster-Hernandez. Whatever it takes.

Our LB options are not on the level needed.

From what I gather the ball was in court. Koese wanted to sign him to a HG contract but he wont sign. He has not recieved any more Los Dos mins (Only 2 apperances) despite being USSDA Academy Player of the Year.

He's been absent and played with the U17 YNT vs Los Dos

I get that, but money talks. I believe we can pay two HG players above the league minimum. It seems most HG players are only getting the league minimum deal only these days.

You have to see Calvin Verdonk's assist from last weekend (8:00 mark). The Dutch LB is rumored to sign with us in January, and has two assists in three Eredivisie games (Netherlands top flight).

That was sweet. Verdonk showed a fighting spirit on that play that I could happily and quickly get used to.

Are you saying he may be a worse defender than our current left back???? Oh my god, if he is...... I soooo want to see him play!!!

  14. I think it's strange he goes to the mls at this age. He wanted to leave Feyenoord because he became third option in the back behind two potential Orange players. Well, that's tough competition but to jump the ocean and land in the mls?

The level of competition in MLS may be a bit different from what you are assuming.

“he became the third option” isn’t encouraging. The two left backs in front of him are really good, I hope?

I guess you have to think about it in the same way we think of Araujo being buried behind Feltscher. Sometimes the coach prefers experience over raw talent.

I’m happy to capitalize on that. A Dutch youth in need of playing time? Sounds like a DtK move.

MLS has changed... Can you give us more informations on him?

  19. What I ment to point at he's a player good enough for a club that's serious about playing in the Europa League tournement, which is a serious trophee.
He's a typical modern Dutch full back with a drive forwards.
I actually expected him to take the spot in the Feyenoord team coming in from the academy, but Feyenoord bought an experienced defender.
You can see him play against Ajax in our 6-2 trashing of them. He was subbed out in the 73d minute:

  20. Yup.
Bear in mind Dutch defenders are a sought after commodity in Europe at the moment.

There are quite a few Peruvians I'd love in our team for next season

Luis Advíncula is a rightback/winger who is a sub in spain. He is 29, and can solve our right back spot. Also give Aruajo someone to learn from that isn't Feltscher.

    Christian Cueva
is an attacking mid with flair. I know we have Alvarez, but he hasn't exactly filled me with confidence.

Carlos Zambrano is a centerback that most probably recognize. Playing in the Ukraine right now. He is 30, but I think his physical playing style would suit the MLS.
