Wow: and just one minute into 2nd half, it stops and says "Live streaming offline" for me: anyone else is experiencing that?
We are experiencing some technical difficulties in Japan, we are working on putting the stream back online. #CANWNT— Canada Soccer (@CanadaSoccerEN) October 6, 2019
So I assume any other live stream that we could, being based on the same broadcast, will have the same problems, so it's quite useless to find for another one right now. Meanwhile, I went back watching Iwabuchi's goal, since apparently I can't see the game live right now. It was indeed a nice one, the whole action with Sugasawa opening on the Right-Side for Nakajma. The fact that there is no comment, but the background sounds are very clear, is funny: in an action just before the goal's one, I distinctly heard Shimizu calling Nakajima "Emi-san", after a wrong pass. If I remember well, some years ago there had been a discussion in Japanese men's football, where Honda was claiming that the players should have dropped the "-san" honorific while playing, because it made communication on the pitch quite awkward: did that discussion have an ending?
Found it, it's TBS. And (of course) it has a nice comment in Japanese : http://aqstream.com/jp/tbs/TBS Missed the first 15 minutes, but the score remained the same. I hope I can now see the final 30 minutes with no more troubles!
That fould that was whistled for Canada about 10 m outside the box was non-existent to me! Luckily, no harm from it.
Wonderful action! And, indeed, it was partly due to Endo's tenacity of the Left-Side! She made her presence felt right away. The combination between Nakajima and Iwabuchi, with Manadona's back-heel assist, was exquisite and Emi's shot itself would have deserved the goal: it anyway forced a deflection, and Momiki aimed very well to score from the rebound! Not sure if Canada are at their best, and Sinclair is probably becoming more a burden than a threat with her slowness, but I really like this Nadeshiko Japan side!
Canada's DF completely misses a tackle on Iwabuchi on a long drive from the middle of the pitch and Mana finds herself completely free in the box: square pass to the center for Yui Hasegawa, who just has an open net in front of her and only has to comfortably deflect the ball in the center on the goal with a slow ground-shot. I missed the name of the player who made that long pass for Iwabuchi: did anyone notice who it was?
Hana Takahashi in for Miyagawa: is it a debut? She scored three goals in the last two matchdays for Urawa, I hope she can score again today. Also Mina Tanaka in for Iwabuchi.
Hasegawa almost made it 4-0 from a fast counterattack, but I feel like the 4th goal is coming: we're dominating the game. I don't remember who of us had written that a traveling Canada would have probably had the same destiny as a traveling Norway about one year ago, but it looks like he was right. Of course, I would give a meaningless friendly match like this one everyday for a match that really counts at WWC or Olympics, but it's anyway quite reassuring to watch such a dispaly of dominance from our team.
Meanwhile, Hasegawa injured from previous action (nothing serious I hope) and Rikako Kobayashi is subbed in at her place at about 38'.
FT Japan 4 Canada 0 First impressions......best performance for a long long time.....well worth the 6am start (not so good for us 'greens'....Miura Hasegawa injured)
No, the first shot was by Mina Tanaka, but actually it was Rikako Kobayashi who scored from the deflection (the fact that they crossed their paths after the goal was probably misleading). Was I calling it or not? It only came in the 2nd one of three minutes of additional time, but Canada's defense-line was all over the place while they were somehow uselessly trying to push for a consolation goal (they weren't even close, by theway) and I felt that they would have suffered from at least another fast action from our girls. I only watched the last half-hour of this game, but what I watched was really a convincing performance.
Definitely! Ok, ok, I was a sleepy-head (in Italy, unlike GB, it was even at 7 am), but I feel like I anyway watched a meaningful part of the game.
