That's a big "UFF" to me. I was scared to death by the first match performance. Scotland plays worse than vs England and we play much better than vs Argentina.
That's exactly what I think. Argentina played the same in first match but Japan didn't take advantage of that. If you don't play well, even the rival play bad you can't win. It's 2-0 but ot could be 3 or 4-0 even without the PK. Ganbare Nadeshiko, this is the way. Keep going in second half.
So far so good but I don't think we should get carried away just yet.More goals needed in case group positions settled on goal difference
I still cannot get over Scotland playing a 4-4-2. I just... don't get it. Why would you possibly go 2v2 against Japan in central midfield when you could go 3v2 instead? It makes no sense at all, especially considering how well Scotland's 4-5-1/4-3-3 worked in the first game. I'm used to Japanese coaches making stupid decisions but I never would have expected such a blunder from Kerr. Japan really lucked out today.
Honestly I am happy for this surprising result so far. I could not have predicted such a score line given past results from both teams. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for Nadeshiko Japan for a good result today.
