Goff reporting that we play Columbus, Thursday at 8:00 PM. Should be fun. It will be broadcast on FS1. asitis
This doesn't feel like Chivas NYC is amazing but rather that Philly is awful. Philly's defense looks terrible and their offense is AWOL. By the way, I kept telling you folks that Philly was a fraud but nobody listened to me.
Dallas vs Portland looks like a real cluster#$*& right now. A lot of pushing and shoving on both sides. And then two players go off the field arm-in-arm like they're dating or something. And nobody's at the game.
Stadium practically empty. Glad that folks in Texas take their trick-or-treating seriously. Relieved we are playing on All Saints' Day.
Dallas has been awful since Mauro Diaz left. Any offense that has Maxi Urruti as its fulcrum is destined to fail.
I never believed it, even when they came down here and beat us, I didn't think they were very good. Curtain out coached himself into the ground last night. I've never believed Blake was that good nor have I been impressed with Bedoya or their attack. In much the same way as Bradley peaked at Roma and had been riding his talent down at Toronto, I'd say the same about Bedoya leave Nantes. Not the same class as Roma, but decent competition on a regular basis against the like of PSG, Marseilles, Monaco and Lyon along with the rest of that league that is likely better than most of MLS. Most of what I saw from him in Philly was him thugging it up on Lucho ... in the preseason.
We're jinxed now . . . I was listening this [Thursday] morning to "The Football Show" on Sirius/XM channel 157. During their segment "Real or Rubbish?", Ray Hudson and Charlie Stillitano answered the following: Real or Rubbish--DC United could win MLS Cup? Ray Hudson [thick NE English accent]: "Achhhh . . . well, I cunnot say "r-r-r-rubbish" abut me ol' club Day Say United, but it might just bee a br-r-r-ridge too far, as it were. They gut Wayne as emotional leader, and they've gut tha' most r-r-r-rabid fans in all uh MLS, bar-r-r none, but the mountain unn frunt of um is aww-flee high. They should just go out and have a guyt clymb." Charlie Stillitano [thick, Gilbert Godfrey northern Joisey accent] "Well, I dunno, Ray, cuz MLS was built, yah know, for parity. That's what the late, great, Lamar Hunt wanted. There isn't a heckuva lot separatin' Team 1 from Team 24 or whatever it is-- there really isn't. Anything could happen, so why tha' hell not?" Jinx, jinx, and jinx.
I was listening to that segment and the thing that grabbed me, which they left out, which is how well the MLS playoffs, up until the final lay out for DCU to thrive. We are looking at home and home series where the first leg is played here, where we've been very tough. I think we're due against NJ, we've dealt with Atlanta here and have a good shot against an NYC team that's just getting their best players back. Then we'd have to go on the road, with a presumable lead to defend against a team that has to come out attacking and perhaps leaving itself open in the back sooner or later. For that reason I like our odds through the eastern conference finals.
Is section 137 ALL gen adm? Haven't sat there yet. When i was looking at tix it said gen adm but when i bought tix it had a row/seat #.
That's the North End, right? Don't worry about it. My season tickets for the North End have a Row/Seat number. BFD. This isn't Lane. Hell, for many years, the SE Nest tix had row/seat numbers, until the FO wised-up and just printed ""General Admission" on them. Before that, we always got a kick out of Nest newbies trying to match their tickets to their seats and asking us to move. We set 'em strait. Just be prepped for the CSC hall monitors to make you show them your ticket on your phone.
They sure took us apart when they played at Audi Field, but you never know. As they say in the NFL, on Any Given Sunday . . . I expect that tonight's game will be a nail biter and, when we survive, it won't get any easier for the conference semi-finals.
I'm pulling out my lucky '96 DCU t-shirt for the game tonight so a win is now a foregone conclusion. Bank on it. Vamos!
Waiting on the game playing with this to try to undo the aforementioned jinx. https://www.thescore.com/news/517891
Pretty much, but we think Marylanders are cool. Just don't drive here, y'all are ********ing abysmal in that regard.
