    Thanks for the video and keeping this open until after Christmas (belated Season's greetings everybody!), finally found some time to watch it.

    Honestly a lot of the goals were boring to me (scrappy, solos, defensive mistakes, poaching). What I missed the most are movements through the center.

    1. Mina Tanaka vs Ghana 1-0 (excellent team zigzag movement through the center)
    2. Mina Tanaka vs New Zealand 1-0 (clean buildup, nice goal)
    3. Mizuho Sakaguchi vs Australia 1-0 (great eye for choosing a backpass by Yui Hasegawa)
    4. Kumi Yokoyama vs China 2-0 (fine use of space, good shot)
    5. Kumi Yokoyama vs Australia 1-0 (screamer)

    Wow, what and incredible performance! :eek: Goal, half-goals, dummies, assists (including back-heel assist in the box)!

    I want to see such a performance from her in some WWC match next year! :ninja:

    Great counterattack action! :eek:

    It's a shame that the player from JEF who's lost the ball was one of my favourite, Risa Fukasawa (if I am not wrong).

    If i read the numbers right, Nakajima took the ball from Fukasawa, then Masuya passed it to the center of the field, where Iwabuchi made that perfect through-pass for Kyokawa. Both Iwabuchi's assist and Kyokawa's shot from a quite wide position looked excellent to me! :notworthy:

    Ok, I'm in.. sorry -- better late than never. Happy Holidays to all.

    1. Hasegawa Yui vs. DPRK
    2. Yokoyama Kumi vs. Australia
    3. Iwabuchi Mana vs Holland
    4. Yokoyama Kumi vs China
    5. Sugasawa Yuika vs Korea Republic

    There were some good goals vs Ghana, Vietnam, Brazil & Thailand, but the defending/goalkeeping in those cases was too poor to really make them seem worthy.

    Overall impressions:
    A. Hasegawa is (still) the bright future of the Nadeshiko
    B. Mana is still great.
    C. Nakajima should play as long as she can still run.

    Interesting news. Some thoughts about them:
    - South Korea is confirmed as a new popular destination for Nadeshiko players;
    - both Chifure and Nippatsu, with their campaign, look like they want to try again to fight for promotion;
    - Michigami did well to leave INAC in my opinion: she couldn't get significant playing time there, while in Iga she will probably be the starting central striker and she can count on Ami Sugita's assists;
    - talking about "Sugita", I didn't remember this Sugita Mei. INAC also have Sugita Hina, but I suppose she remains a key-piece of INAC's midfield;
    - many leaving players for Nagano and Mynavi: are they sizing down their ambitions? :cautious:

    Happy to see you post your picks, @zaku_II! :) I was hoping for most of the missing friends to post their picks before the dead-line and most of you didn't let me down for sure! :giggle: Barring a few names, almost all of the community voted for Lechus7's poll.

    I guess it would be fun to make a top-three mini-video at the end and maybe (dreaming) somehow managing to share the news with the winning player! :giggle:

    I notice that, for clarity, you felt compelled to spell out the initial of the player, in this case: but I can't help pointing out that both Sakaguchi Mizuho and Sakaguchi Moeno are Sakaguchi M.! :laugh: Of course, just one of them scored vs USA at ToN. ;)

    D'oh! But in my defence Mizuho don't need more details to her name, she is the only Sakaguchi there, the rest will be sakaguchi something for a lot of time :p
