Yeah, but Freddy Adu was only 13 and look how he rocked the league.

We are at a farther place in development then we were in 2004 with Freddy Adu.

Freddy quickly stopped rocking the league once he actually had to play in the league....

Alvarez is at least showing his skills against grown men.

Oh right. I was thinking about the last game the average age of the scorers being 17

    Some good news.

They are making the USL games available for everyone with a week delay.

Since I'm just watching them to see the youngsters, I can live with this.

I don't understand. I can watch them live and watch the replay straight when the stream ends. Am I the only one? Or is it because I live in France?

Potentially. Do you have ESPN+? If so, you can watch them live and immediately replay.

But last year every game was live on YouTube (as well as the replays on YouTube immediately) but I think @Baysider is excited that even though they games aren't live on YouTube the replays eventually go up so if you don't want to pay for ESPN+, you can still watch the replays for free on YouTube.

You didn't understand. I have zero problem watching USL games live and the replay are watchable straight when the game ends, even if I live in France. Everything is perfect for me.

I just don't understand how Baysider seems to not be allowed to it.

For the record, I can't see MLS games on Twitter, they're blocked.

I understood. I'm asking if you're watching them YouTube or ESPN.

It's all good man, your English is fantastic; I've never had a problem with it. Yeah, so we can't watch them on YouTube (live at least) here because it's all on ESPN+.

I love Alvarez's patience and composure in the final third. Rare to see from US-developed players.

And we give up 7 goals, 3 in stoppage time. We need to hire someone who can teach defensive composure. There is no reason for these problems with both the first and second teams.

WTF was that? 3 goals in stoppage time? I’ve seen some dumb things in soccer before, but that’s next level terrible.

Well, at least now we know why we keep playing the same duds in the first team games and don’t call up any of these guys....

So I've officially soured on Muñoz as G2's head coach (I'm also getting a heavy Jeremy Piven vibe from him as his hair thins). The team plays terrible soccer, lots of boot ball. There's no cohesion. The goals we have scored are often times just individual efforts. I don't know who has control over non-academy G2 signings but the signings there have been really poor. Frank Lopez shouldn't be pro at any level, Zanga and Engola won't ever be MLS players (Engola had a stunningly bad game), Aguilar/Buscher are both slow mentally and physically and aren't MLS level. Appiah is decent at the USL level but is already too old to be on the team. The player acquisitions are just terrible (though given that the first team's acquisitions are also pretty terrible, it's not so surprising). I just don't see anything positive coming from Muñoz.

I say screw it, let's see if Kleiban is as good as he and his brother say he is and if he can actually drag some attractive soccer out of the team.

Just finished the 7-3 loss at Portland. To make it quick :

    - good : Alvarez, Archeampong, Aguilar (whould have just been "decent" without his good goal). Alvarez scoring from nothing in a terrible team is both funny and painful to watch.
    - decent : Appiah, Requejo, Eric Lopez (can't blame him on any of the goals seriously).
    - bad : Vera, Zubak, Zanga, Frank Lopez.
    - very, very bad : Shultz, Engola and Arellano.

I second GalaxyKoa on everything he said. The only exciting players in this team right now are the young guns (Alvarez, Llanez and Mendez) and I would say Archeampong too. I don't understand how he's not getting more minutes. He can play in the midfield and on the wing, is skilled, fast, and combines well with the other players, but is still inexplicably behind Vera, Buescher and Zanga in the depth chart. I'm curious to know what GalaxyKoa and Baysider have to say about him.

I'm done with Munoz too. I can't name a lot of players who have progressed with him as a coach (Vera for sure, Payeras? Zubak (but still too inconsistent)? Engola (but has quickly plateaued)?), but I can name a lot of players who seem to have regressed with him : Arellano, Lassiter, Fuji, Engola this year, even Eric Lopez, and the Villarreals, McBean, Mendiola (though playing them with the first team didn't help).

I'm concerned, we have a such bright future, I hope he won't waste it.

Game against Rio Grande Valley FC in less than an hour.

BJ4, Archeampong and Alvarez starting. Lopez and Shultz benched but Arellano and Engola are still starting because we don't have any other CB.

Goal RGV. Howler by Hamilton, who should have stopped a long range shot.
