I think and hope we will see her (Ueno) again very soon, but at the moment Tomari is surely the better choice since she is more experienced and is doing well in the league games.

NT news: Nakamura Kaede will be replaced by Manya Miho http://www.jfa.jp/news/00014312/ Where is she playing and what type of player she is?
In Mynavi mainly as the left side FB. She was highly valued in young ages in Hinomoto high school days; since she was fast and had accurate kicks, many said she must be one of the stars in the future, but she was heavily injured twice, so in fact this year is literally her first season. I'm a little surprised because I feel it's too early. I wonder if she has fully recovered her potential.
So that means, without Kumagai and Nakamura, the only cb options we currently have are Takagi and Ichise? Or is there someone else who can cover that position? Sakamoto for example? Where does she play for Nagano?
Oh i didn't know that. I have never seen her playing as a center back before. But of course you are right, Utsugi is a very useful and versatile player, so she can play various positions

I am so busy watching Euro 2017 these days, that I am a missing a little on Nadeshiko football. Anyway, I am very happy that Kozue Ando already scored her second since her return! And Sugasawa getting back to her goal-machine rhythms could be very important for our NT, since we need reliable scorers. Mynavi didn't have anymore hope to reach the semifinals of this Nadeshiko League Cup, but, by stopping Urawa on a draw, they could have complicated their chase for first place vs INAC: there's a difference between meeting Beleza or JEF in the semis. Tokiwagi have quite a hectic trend these days: they could badly lose some games, or they can win by 0-3 an away match vs group-leaders of Jumonji Ventus! Situation in West group keeps being more complicated, but Shizuoka are slowly emerging there as the main candidate for 2nd place: right now just NGU loveledge Nagoya seem to be able to keep their pace. Meanwhile, Bunnys have such an advantage at 1st place, that they can afford to lose their second game of the season.
NWSL update: - Kansas City FC vs North Carolina Courage has been postponed due to bad weather. - Chicago Red Stars won by 2-1 an home game vs Orlando Pride, with a brace by Christen Press, and reach the top of the chart. Once again, Yuki Nagasato wasn't even on the bench: it's a mystery, by now. Highlights: https://www.nwslsoccer.com/videos/20365530 - Seattle Reign FC are the craziest team on heart!!! They were winning by 4-0 vs Sky Blue, then, in a span of 15' minutes, between 60' and 76', they let the opponent equalize on 4-4!!!! In the end, Rapinoe, with the third goal of her hat-trick, made it 5-4, after that absurd attempt at collective suicide by the whole team. Really, I don't know what to say about this team, and I've got no good feeling about the rest of the season: yes, with this win they leapfrogged once again rivals of Sky Blue, getting to play-off-granting 4th place with a game in hand over them, but at the moment it seems to me that the team is clinging to Rapinoe and her incredible state of form (once more, she's top-scorer of NWSL with 12 goals) and little more. Both Rumi Utsugi and Nahomi Kawasumi played the whole game. There was an "INAC 2013 moment" when Naho made a cross in the box for Bev Yenez, who scored with an header (3rd Seattle's goal). It's the 7th assist for Kawasumi this season and she keeps comfortably leading NWSL assists' rankings. Highlights: https://www.nwslsoccer.com/videos/20374158
Quite incredibly, Cerezo girls disappeared this early in the first round. One more play you might be interested in is that Akita was also defeated, but their girls were easily doing so-called Marseille roulette (around 9:25).
Hey, I didn't get to watch the end of the last match! How did Cana Cravo "Brazilian" girls manage to win? JFA #23 looks feisty. Also, some girls look quite big and tall for being U-15! For instance, Akita's roulette-making #11.

The "INAC 2013 feeling" was stronger than I believed; look at this Tweet, below: after the goal, Bev thanks Naho for the assist "à la Japonaise", with a bow, and then they walk towards the center of the pitch embracing each other. 49' @beverlygoebel's header off the cross from Nahomi Kawasumi gave the @ReignFC their 3rd goal of the night. #SEAvNJ pic.twitter.com/lcar4X7fZ5— National Women’s Soccer League (@NWSL) July 23, 2017
