Btw since this board is kind of Korean friendly, just want to share one of the few foreign players in our league just made her debut goal last Sunday. Would be nice if she keeps it up. Promise i'll keep an eye out for Japanese ones Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler
LOL, one of the best films ever, if you ask me... but (although I don't want to spoiler the whole movie for those who didn't watch it) the main character in the end maneges to come out from the loop: it could happen with Lady Vega too, eventually!
For anyone who's interested in watching the whole Canberra United vs Melbourne Victory match (without comment nor replays), here it is:
Algarve Cup schedule: vs Spain on March 1st 14:45 vs Iceland on March 3rd 14:45 vs Norway on March 6th 14:45
In these days I was studying my opportunities. I'd probably could go in Portugal for the match of 3rd of March, but I am still not sure how easy it is to reach Parchal (where the match will take place) from Faro (where the international airport is). When I went to Portugal 5 years ago, it was easier, 'cause the match I had to watch was played in Faro.
Oh, I was referring to team members, but realize that I did not make myself clear. However - you are kind of part of the team.... I would love to go but the tournament is usually around my wife's birthday and she somehow does not want to celebrate her birthday at the Algarve in March. Plus, the distance now is even greater than during the last three years...
Actually, it wasn't so unclear, but everyone reads things according to his personal biases. These days, I was so concentrated on the idea of going to Portugal, if possible, that I couldn't have read your post any other way! I hope the players will see it the same way!
Incidentally, I share with you my satisfaction for my current record: the one above has been my post #13.000 on BigSoccer. And the number of "likes" I received is more than half that number. Thank you very much to all of you "likers".
2017 Nadeshiko League schedule was announced: http://www.nadeshikoleague.jp/2017/nadeshiko1/ By the way, マイナビ (my navi?) means Vega; a new sponsor.
Kinga's Canberra United lost the semifinal of Aussie W-League for a goal in extra-time by Jessica Fishlock. Sigh.
Meanwhile Saki Kumagai scored in this week-end's Olympique Lyonnais' 4-0 win vs Olympique Marseille (OL vs OM ).
That photo of Nakada with the pouty expression on her face…wow!! (oh, and Miki Ito and Takase were in there too I guess). At what event were these pictures taken? Did it have something to do with Coming of Age Day? Sugita is about that age. Who were the other two women with Sugita?
To Sugita's right in dark yellow is Miyabi Moriya . She was part of the recent U-20 tournament and scored against Brazil. I don't know the other one. It appears to be an event by Bellco (google translator), but I haven't figured out who or what that is. And Ms Nakada... sigh...
It is stated here that Kinga will join a Chinese club and take up the "most lucrative contract of her playing career"
U16 NT squad members for two training camps: EAST WEST Also, Futoshi Ikeda is the new U19 NT head coach. U16/U17-> Naoki Kusunose/Tomomi Miyamoto U19/U20-> Futoshi Ikeda/Miyo Okamoto Can't wait to see the little ladies in action Here's a nice video about the wonderful team we saw last year at the U17 WC:
Some sad and unexpected news. FC Victories announced that they will cease operating as a football club. They were one of the best Kansai teams, last season they finished third in the regional league (and were the only team to take points off Cerezo). Three prominent goalkeepers emerged from their youth program: Empress Cup heroine Rei Takenaka, Nagano's Mei Hayashizaki (U23 NT) and Daisho Gakuen's star Kiyoka Nishimura who has been Beleza's only signing so far. I'm also concerned about the future of Konomiya Speranza Osaka Takatsuki. They've lost almost 20 players...
You are correct on both counts. Bellco advertises for weddings and funerals. https://www.bellco.co.jp/
Wow, the praise for Kinga from Canberra's coach is very very high. I am proud that she showed Aussies what a player she is, still at 32! I am impressed that she anyway wouldn't have played the final match because of committments with her new Chinese club! That contract has to be really stellar (at least for the average of women's football wages). I've heard on other threads that Chinese football club recently started spending big money and tried to sign international players. I am curious to see where this will lead, and if China's NT can somehow benefit of this and be back at their '90s levels (after all, Japan also had a moment when clubs recruited international players to help the local scene grow).
