Hi everybody. I post a weekly Matchday thread over in the Union forum. I wanted to invite any NYCFC fans who might want to join us for some friendly game discussion. Please, if you join us keep things civil, no Rivalries forum crap. You can join us HERE. Looking forward to your persepectives on the game!
Brillant was at fault for the first and either Ring or Pirlo left their man on the second. I seriously don't know why RJ or White didn't start at RB, Brillant is IMO a bench CB NOT an RB and it showed today. The team was wayy to wasteful with chances, Harrison had a goal mouth wide open and the GK on the floor but the man shoot its right AT the GK!! Ugh!!
Again this is what happens when you put a natural CB at RB. I would have loved to see Shannon Gomez instead of Brillant. Hell move Chanot to RB (which he can play decently) an put Brillant at CB. Vieira didn't put players in a position to succeed today.
I think Shelton finally played himself off the club. It's damn frustrating to watch this kid fly down the sideline with a step on the defender and pull up rather than explode toward the end line where he can serve the ball into the middle. It happens far too often.
I'm not sure what is better, the goal itself or Villa attempting it because he didn't feel like running Hard to really judge this game. We looked really solid, especially at the back. But Philly are also really, really bad.
I thought we should have won by more but the 3 points and the Villa wonder goal more than make up for it!

Harrison pretty mediocre at best , they should have used the younger bloods in the first half instead of the Italian Dinosaur
