Hard to believe that we are already into our third season. Preseason was pretty bad, but I'm still really optimistic for this year. If we aren't too unlucky with injuries I think a conference final should be the aim for the team.
Didn't deserve to lose but also didn't deserve to win either. We were way too slow in the build up. Possession doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't do anything with it.
It's really hard to assess things yet as the team is still in preseason form. With all the late arrivals, PV didn't have enough time to try different combinations of players. Plus, several guys are still not quite match fit. We only had one game this preseason where everyone was available. Unfortunately it's going to take a few games to get this team to gel. Fortunately, there are 33 games left and 6 playoff spots up for grabs.
I think a lot of that was Moralez not having much time with the team, I liked what I saw from Ring, and Moralez. Wallace had some flashes but I think Tommy Mac would have been more productive IMO. Callens was at fault at that goal but aside from that he looked solid with Chanot. I think the team will definitely get better as the season progresses so I'm not worried right now.

One of the best games I've seen us play. Everyone looked really solid, including White. Also really Impressed by Callens so far.

You forgot to mention Ring! He was bossing that midfield!! He was everywhere it seemed and made his presence felt like no other midfielder we've had. The scary part is that this team will only get better as the season progresses so I'm pretty stoked right now.
Haven't seen much discussion about him, but I thought Johnson also looked very good. Not even just his saves, but his distribution was miles better than any game with Saunders.

That was so pretty you had two NYCFC groups celebrating the pass AND the goal on that one! The team was far more effective with Tommy Mac instead of Pirlo in the midfield and I would love to see more of that! Pirlo cost us on the first goal and was lucky not to give a PK, so even though Vieira said he had a good game I'm pretty sure we'll see more of Tommy mac and less of Pirlo as the season progresses.
