Just following Akita and hoping they get promoted. I have some family in the area and hope to go see some away games there next year!
I like Akita's run, but I still hope that Nagano + Oita will get promotion. J2 needs them and Nagano has a really big crowd. Also Kagoshima is doing a really great job.
Has, but some voices said that they have the worst squad in the last 3 years. They lost to Tokyo U23 this week.
How do you feel about gamba, cerezo and tokyos B team participating in J3 league? Seems to be following spains models and it has done wonders forbarcelona and real madrids academy and spains future generation of footballers. They spanish youth have consistently done well in the u20 worl cup and eu championships because of this model i feel.
After a few months, Tochigi got a nice run and J2 return seems probable. For 2nd place, I'd say three teams on contention, since Nagano decided AGAIN to shoot in their foot several times (so Oita, Kataller and surprisingly Kagoshima). But most of all I have a question: I know Kubo has been registered for F.C. Tokyo. Any chance of seeing him on the field not with senior side, but with Tokyo U-23 at the end of this season?
No one mentioned it anymore, but J3 season has been fantastic this year. Tochigi and Oita still on contention for direct return to J2. Kagoshima, Blaublitz, Fujieda having the time of their lives. Nagano and Sagamihara disappointing, while U-23 teams... we have to get rid of that.
quick question: what was the plan for J3 again? I mean, Honda or the Dragons will be promoted this year and as usual no relegation is scheduled. I don't know if anything will change with the U23 teams. I remember - or seemed to remember - that there was a plan to reach a certain amount of teams for J3, does anyone recall it? Obviously it can't just have one team promoted for every with no relegations...
Numazu will be the only team promoted to J3. Top 4 finish and J3 license. There is no specific plan for size of J3 just as with J2 previously until it was getting crowded. The idea once was to make a J3 East and West split.
Ah right, forgot about the licenses. Yeah i read he document again yesterday, it says "60 teams max,?" And the two blocks. That's crazy, obviously too many but we're still far from that
In 10 years a North and South division could be a reality. 12 teams for each division... next year Nara, Vanraure, FC Imabari and Suzuka (if the last two will win promotion from Regional Series) will be available to try. So let's hope. J3 is shaping up well, anyway. I hope next year they'll have 16 teams: 14 original clubs + a J1 and J2 representatives of loans instead of U-23 teams.
Big drop by Tochigi, they had promotion in their hands. Still, they're probably the favourite side against Zweigen.
Oita was way too big club to stay there longer than a year. They brought a good coach and did everything like it should be. Now they can enjoy this little success.
The Biggest disappointment of former J2 teams is Gainare Tottori, they finished the league second to last and below the U-23 teams.
With Azul Claro Numazu promoted to J3, how many reserve clubs in J3 in season 2017? Still 2 or 4 to get a total of 18 clubs?
