yep, I know I used a too aggresive word ... sorry, is due of language, don't know how to say better... I know at 2-2 both teams must attack, and probably Seoul catch in counter-attack ... I watch other match in time unfortunatelly for Kashima, they weak up too later, after first 3 matches they had only 1 pt
If you only knew how many matches is being manipulated or fixed every week, you would be a bit more suspicious as well (To know 100% is of course impossible unless you are in on it yourself, but when you see how odds can change for no apparent reason, and a certain defender(s) or referee who are already on a "blacklist of possibly dodgy players", make several big mistakes that can only be described as either extremely clumsy or deliberate, you kind of get the picture. Especially when it happens over and over again... )
So we got 2 Japanese teams through ( both as group winners). Thats acceptable I think. Japan: 2 teams ( 1st place x2) China: 2 teams ( 1st place x2) Korea: 3 teams (2nd place x3) Thailand: 1 team ( 2nd place x1) Mostly disappointing for Australia, who fails to get any teams past the group stage, but both W Sydney and Brisbane performed good and it was only margins that saw them lose out ( Brisbane completely dominated Beijing in R1 for example, but still lost 0-1). Guess Korea is the winner in East Asia, although having the 3 teams all qualify in 2nd place suggests that neither of them can be considered among the clear favorites for the title ( but all 4 groups were very evenly matched this season, so it might not mean too much anyway). Oh, and credit to Buriram for pulling through! Nice to see them taking further steps, as a stronger South East Asia-region can only benefit the entire Asia in the long run.
Seems yes Basse. Very strange situation, but was a tiebreaker between top 3 teams @aishiterutokyo @dasher39 The "between clubs in question" tiebreaker has been used since the ACL's inception, albeit now much enhanced.— David Phillips (@lovefutebol) May 6, 2015 So, the results against R&F were not important.
Damn, I was aware of that rule, but can almost swear I read on the AFC-site that Buriram qualified 1 hour ago, so I didnt look into it lol Thats a pity though, then we have 4 Korean teams through.
They are nowhere near as impressive as they were a couple of seasons ago with Muriqui and Conca spearheading their campaign, but they are still quite a force and got some very good FWs. But certainly not unbeatable.
Yes, maybe you are right Gordon. Also, the coach it's important and they will not promote if they will keep Autori.
A coach's importance depends tho. Someone like Klopp can get the best out of average players whereas at Real Madrid before Ancelotti, a lot of world-class managers did not manage to get to the CL final despite having a very good squad.
Lol, South Korea heading towards 0 teams in the next round! Hard to see Suwon or Seoul turn around their results against the Japanese teams, and neither Jeonbuk or Seongnam won their home-game, and Beijing and Evergrande will be rather big favorites in the 2nd leg. Edit: I spoke too soon as Seongnam just scored the 2-1 goal in injury-time with only 10 men. Still, they face an extremely tough task in Guangzhou even with a 2-1 lead.
Guangzhou just have to win 1-0 at home. They should be able to do it. The K-league schedule is tough plus they have to fly all the way to Guangzhou.
