Exploited David Luiz!? 1st goal Brazil should make a switch in marking. 2nd goals was fernandinho fault. He failed to intercept the ball. 3rd was Marcelo and fernandinho. 4th was Fernandinho AGAIN.Luiz only make mistake on the 5th goal.
I'm not including goals in the 2nd half because Brazil have no choice but attack.

It funny how Luiz get the most criticism when fernandinho and Marcelo are the main reason why Brazil conceded so many goals.

there is no quote anywhere where he says "the tactics were right", sorry. :(
This is the only quote I could found which somewhat relates that unfortunately: "I really wanted to take us forward and qualify for the second round and I am so disappointed. But I picked the team, decided on the tactics and how we play and I want to take full responsibility"

    Back to the match...

just kidding I got bored of it already 20 minutes ago
I'm gonna watch the PKs if they happen though :D

    Shitty match.

However this Argentina really does not have a chance against that Germany.

You don't know. I'am not very, very impressed by Germany because Brazil was really poor.

LOL, I know its easy to say now after Argentina "won", but I just read this now and had to comment. Argentina basically controlled every match and somehow they are "one of the tactically worst teams".
Meanwhile Netherlands don't start playing till the last 5 minutes and extra time each match, and somehow they are "leaving nothing to luck".

It's really difficult to defend Argentina or Netherlands after what has been the worst match of this World Cup, anyone could win by pk (read it luck) instead of play and both the teams agree about that.

Now Argentina or Netherlands doesn't matter, a team with this type of mentality will be crushed in crumbs by the german army.

Never know. Argentina are kinda like the new Italy who always gave the Germans trouble. They will need Di Maria though as his sub was terrible.

Germany has a weakness concerning their high line defense. If a team doesnt rush forward and let Germans take the balls in dangerous positions for counter game goes very differently. So one option would be trying to play Lavezzi and Perez behind the lines on the wings with long balls over the defense. But the problem I see here there are 2

    1. Argentina aside from Messi doesnt have such passers of the ball. Especially the midfield and DCs, Gago would be an option but wont be.

    2. You need players who will run in behind for such game play I think they will use this with Lavezzi

Expect Argentina to sit back and wait for counters, while Germany passes around and builds type of game. I ll be interested to see how many men Argentina will commit forward.

    Key men?

    1. Mascherano
    2. Messi

France, Algeria and even Brazil showed us that the German high line can be exposed, question is... will it be...

    my opinion anyway

Problem for Argentina is they have 1 day less rest and played 120 minutes, while Germany played 25 minutes.

I hope Germany win, Argentina played boring against Holland and were lucky to win. But Germany's defence looks a bit shaky, I think Argentina's forwards might exploit it. Despite hammering Brazil, I am not that convinced as Brazil was too poor without Silva & Neymar, they did not do well against France and might have conceded if it weren't for Neuer.

Never thought I would say this, but now I actually do feel sorry for Brazil. 0-2 behind in 3rd place match after such a devastating loss, at least give the Brazilian people some joy you'd think...

    Still they play garbage.

Classy move by RVP to give the armband to that guy.
Pity he kinda went AWOL in the knockout rounds though... guy has to be one of the most frustrating players out there with the dramatic swings between his hot and cold streaks.

Watching Brazil this tournament, David Luiz has reminded me of all the good and bad points of ol' Marcus Tulio Tanaka haha. Or what would've been had Okada not restricted Tulio's runs forward at the WC.
