As I know, I could read and quite perfectly understand your article without translation, but I guess it would be worth that other members could read it too, even... Americans! (Lol at TabascoT's comment! By the way, nice new Sakaguchi avatar, TabascoT). Edit: I liked the look of the background photos too; did you chose them, KAP, or it was the art-director of the magazine? One of them shows Sawa and another player (Ando?), the other two show two Nadeshiko Japan starting teams... Do you know when those pics were taken, in which tournament(s)? I guess the one with Sawa was from Olympic qualifiers in September 2011? Thanks for the info ( and for the... guesses ): now I've got at least a rough idea. I already said to BtR that I appreciate walls of comments. Especially about one of the most awesome games of the season: I am happy that you managed to catch up with it, mumf, and I am also curious too to see if Sakina Hirai can keep showing good stuff (and also improving) or if her wonderful game was a one-of.
Do you mean the whole magazine? There are about 30 pages, it would be a hard job, at the moment I will translate my article first. Thanks to all for your support, it makes me to keep working hard I don't know, I only wrote the article, but I can ask if you want and tell you later Now I'm going to see Honda's introduction to Milan
LOL, I guess that might make my own town just "a little" more interesting to Virany... Actually, I am looking around and I suspect I could spot her any moment now here in Milano...
According to Ken Suzuki on WSU, Ji So-yun announced today on Kawazumi(s blog that she is going to Chelsea (even if the London club hasn't officialized the transfer yet). Ken translated So-yun's words (many thanks to him ) : "Hello, this is Soyun. Three years have passed since I joined INAC. Every day I lived here made me happy. Thank you so much for the three years you supported me. This three years is my golden memory. I will never forget my great teammates, coaching staff, and the fans. I will join Chelsea. I want to show my best play in the theater of dream. To do so, I believe I need a capability to fit in. I want to achieve my dual goal of performing well for my team and showing quality of an Asian player. Please give me your support. Thank you very much." On the other hand, my compatriot shlj, specialist of English Women's Football and particularly of Arsenal, wrote that Shinobu Ohno could go to Arsenal with Kinga. Nothing official yet for both, anyway...
Given the newspaper articles and videos (from both Korean and English sources) that we showed on this thread yesterday, and the fact that Shlj himself put her name on his site where he keeps updates of English clubs' transfers, I though the news were official by now... They aren't yet? Mmm, the news about Kinga and Ohno give the impression that INAC is really refounding the team, starting with young players, while the veterans go overseas... In your opinion it's more the players wanting to try this kind of experience, the club abroad offering much more than INAC can afford right now, or a combination of these and other factors?
Well, as long as Chelsea hasn't confirmed it, it's not 100% official. Shlj reminded us that in UK the work permit process is sometimes long and not easy at all... I think it's a combination of both. Ohno as well as Kinga are not youngsters and if they want a real good experience abroad, it's now or never. And they are right imho to surf on the positive wave that brings the Nadeshikos forward. Who knows what can happen tomorrow ? Of course, it's different for Ji who is much younger. I wonder if Naomi will leave Inac too or not. For her too, it's the right time to do it.... About INAC policy, nothing tell us that they have chosen to put their youngsters ahead. Maybe they will chose to take some top players from other teams. After all, all current INAC's stars were not always playing for this club, they came from other places...
By the way, I forgot to answer your question about salaries... Lotta Schelin is the highest paid player in France and is paid around 15,000 Euros a month. French internationals (those who are full professional, that is Lyon's and PSG's) are paid around 7,000 Euros. That is considered better paid than the Japanese players (I mean in Japan, of course...) The lowest wages in France are around 2,000 Euros.
Did you watch last Japan's Youth Football's video sent by Girafferunfast, about Asuka High School's Aisha Mochizuki? Did we find our own Tiffany McCarty?
My Avatar has not changed. What changed is Dakota701 joined the Sakaguchi avatar club! I would love to get that English version of KAP's article. My Spanish has is still very rudimentary. Here is a great pic from Ms. Shibata!
Oh, lol! I have read self-irony about Americans and I saw a Sakaguchi's avatar, so I automatically concluded it was TabascoT writing! I apolgize to both Tabasco and dakota701 for the mistake... The observations about the cool Sakaguchi's valid is anyway valid! Nice pic! I look forward to Satomi Shibata getting more playing time in Duisburg (and I also hope that the team manages to avoid relegation, with Shibata's contribution).
Well, here you have the English version of my article about 2013 Nadeshiko League Season. I hope you like it. http://www.mediafire.com/view/4591vf6m5bicft2/Article 2.odt
I laughed a lot more than I should have at this. Sweet new avatar, got to love Ms. Two-Tone! I already read it before, but I'll say it again. Great job hermano!
I would be more inclined to believe it's the players jumping at amazing opportunities, perhaps that is just the idealist in me or me not knowing the INAC financial situation, but I think these are all informed decision from women who want to try their legs in a different build of the game, and having opportunities spring up to make those changes a possibility. That said, I hope Ms. Kinga thrives if she does go to England, having her there and Ms. Ohno possibly as well would no doubt make the English League a more delicious prospect for this little group here. We can't really say now for sure, if this means that INAC will go with youth over experience, I've said my half-cent on the subject for now, but honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if INAC opted to take stars and upstarts from the other clubs to bolster their unit, much to everyone's chagrin no doubt. As much as I would like to see the INAC youngsters grow into their legs, I don't see INAC as the type of club who wants to risk losing in the position they are currently in. I could be wrong though, just speculating.
Judging by the photos on her site today (that Virany showed on her Tumblr page), Nahomi Kawasumi is currently in Europe! (In Frankfurt with Ando and good old friend Asuna Tanaka) Is it just a winter-break's visit to an old house-mate and other friends, or is it possible that, apart from rumoured Seattle Reign, Nahomi is also getting offers from Germany? I don't think she says anything about the subject in the text of her post, but can anyway some Japanase friend translate her blog's page about this trip in Germany?
I went scout Frankfurt yesterday. (So for what? laugh) They started their new training indoors yesterday. Like there are many French NT members in Lyon, many Germany NT members here. Dzsenifer, Bajramaj and Popp etc... Although I felt they were very big when fighting against them, they don't look so big today. Why? It's because they are playing together with the other big guys. I hear their average height is 170cm. Big, aren't they?
Even taller than that, Nao : Kuznik 173 Berhinger 172 Kulig 176 Marozsan 171 Laudehr 175 Huth 163 Garefrekes 179 Sasic 174 Alushi (ex-Bajramaj) 170 AMC 175 Ando 165 Tanaka 164
Some moves update: Players Ikegaya Natsumi (Belle→Nagano) Fukumura Kanae (Tokiwagi→Albirex) Okakura Mika (Tokiwagi→Albrex) Kosuda Rina (Tokiwagi→Albirex) Coachs INAC - Ishihara Takayoshi→ JEF - Uemura Takashi→Mikami Shoko(JEF Ladies U-18 Assistant coach) Anclas - Yagi Kuniyasu→Tsushima Takeshi(Sagan Tosu U-15 Coach) Bunnys - Yamada Osamu→Nakamikawa Tetsuji(Machida Zelvia Assistant coach) JeVrille - Deguchi Izumi→Yamaguchi Jun(JeVrille Assistant coach) At the newest post, Kawasumi mentions about Marozsan. She says she felt "Marozsan is different class". She also quotes Asuna's words "So-Yun or Marozsan (Asuna thinks Marozsan is as good as So-Yun)".
We Well, it looks like INAC are well and truly going into new era by Ishihara resigning. He was Hoshikawa's coaching stuff so it was just a continuation of Hoshikawa's team with a few personnel changes. But it looks like we may even see different type of football from them depending on the new coach.
Thanks unepomme... I am very interested by he use of the word "scouting" (and the subsequent laugh by Nahomi): is an accurate translation? Does the Japanese word gives the idea that she could be there to explore a place where she could possibly end playing...? Anyway I doubt she is there "just for fun". On the other hand, 1FFC Frankfurt's FW-line should be already quite crowded... By the way, Kawasumi mentions Popp: wasn't she playing in Wolfsburg, last season? Did I miss her transfer in Frankfurt? After some quiet days, it seems like the market is finally moving... As much as hirohiro, the piece of news that especially caught my attention is Ishihara leaving INAC. I guess we can now openly talk about a revolution underway in the strongest women's club in Japan: with Goebel-Yanez, Becky, Ji So-Yun, possibly Kinga and Ohno and maybe even Kawasumi leaving, and a change of coach beyond that, in next L-League we are going to see a very different club from what we are used to. Maybe they could keep dominating the league, who knows, but for sure we're going to see something new. As hirohiro correctly notices, Ishihara was Hoshikawa's second-in-charge, and thus his natural heir, in the sign of continuity. Now I am very curious to see who's going to take the reins at INAC: for sure it isn't an easy task for anyone, on the contrary it surely sounds quite daunting; no-one can possibly do better that 3 Nadeshiko Leagues in a row and 4 titles just in this season (League, League Cup, Mobcast Cup and Empress' Cup): so the new coach will have the burden of those last years' successes, although with a likely weakened team in his hands... You have to be quite self-assured to accept this challenge! A crazy idea: could it be possible that Mr. Bun (INAC's chairman) is intentionally weakening INAC to make the competition in Nadeshiko League more interesting?
I want to see new INAC, under the new coach too but I have a small doubt about INAC owner/front also want that. I'm not sure what is Hoshikawa doing now but I worry about there is a possiblity that Hoshikawa would return to INAC. It would be a most boring landing. I hope Mochizuki-san returns to women's soccer.
Oh, ok, so "scouting" by a kind of Nadeshiko National Team point of view... Now I understand, thank you unepomme. Well, let's hope she scouts well for upcoming Algarve Cup in March!
Which I am a little disappointed with. They play on Wednesday, Friday, Monday and Wednesday again (Japan in group B). I was hoping for a weekend trip to Portugal to see a game but with this schedule it will likely not work. Do they not want an audience? By the way, the Cyprus Cup is going at the same time. http://www.cypruswomenscup.net/#!teams/c1nhz
