I'm not defying as disgusting the choose of another nationality. It's disgusting the little coup de theatre that someone built around this decision, like someone should be praying to play with them. It happened with Icardi and Italia this winter; it's happening again with Aria, who is keeping his foot in two shoes.
No, but for two months - between January and March of 2013 - Prandelli talked well about him and he was going to choose Italy. Then Sabella, C.T. of Argentina, smelled a loss and he went to Genova to see a game and talk to Icardi. Then he changed back his mind and he got the call only in October. What a piece of... In Italy we would call him "paraculo".
Can we keep it on J1,please? About Aria: this year his numbers improved a lot,but got to be said that his role in Popovic's FCT system was much more crucial than it ever was in Yokohama...and the discussion about how to evaluate FCT season (uninmpressive/delusional/average/better than expected) is still hot topic. Since You have all posted about his good points I'll remark the bad: -Incostant over the ark of a season and even in the same match his involvement and presence could be very erratic. -Bad temper, lots of unnecessary arguments with refs and opponents -His ability to play in different roles could turn out sometimes to be confusing, still hard to spot in which position he could really do the best of his abilities.
Thanks for the comments guys. Still curious to know how he would fit in with Iran. Id like to see him perform in a friendly to see what he is really worth. He won't have playing time as a CM but can definitely be considered even as a starter if he can play AMF position well with the team as it's where we can lack creativity.
