Another one, this is better, by the way, Uruguay scored and I didn't see it http://www.streamfoot.org/channel3.html
With Ogawa out the WC is almost over, a striking pair of dwarves isn't gonna scare anyone, and that's not even mentionning that Kubo should play with kids his age.
Uruguay are a solid team with some class players, Japan were better before Ogawa came off injured. Kubo is just getting bullied off the ball, he's playing against big physical players almost twice his size, although if he can get in the right positions his vision could be key. I just feel this one is too much for Japan, Uruguay are a dogged bunch and probably favourites to get to the final
Why did Kubo even came out for Ogawa? Japan should have brought in a proper CF instead of Kubo which clearly cannot handle the physicality of the Uruguayan players. Japan are lucky they aren't behind by more. Doubt Japan can make it out of the group stage, Italy would most probably beat Japan as well imo.
I'm sick of this commentator on the stream i'm watching. Every god damn time. "Oh its Kubo....15 years old" "Oh ball almost reached Kubo....plays for FC Tokyo...he's 15 years old" Rest of the time its like the guy doesn't know anyone else. I hope Ogawa hasn't got something serious in the context of his career.
Game over. I was impressed with Japan in the second half, but like Saku said without Ogawa there's no cutting edge in the team, it's an uphill battle from now, with a confident Italy to play next
Clinical counter by Uruguay, can't take much away from that goal. No reliable presence in the box means the players endlessly danced around it and Uchiyama in game management didn't do anything to hemp with that. Daisuke Sakai, seriously ? Anyway, the second half is cause for optimism against Italy even though a tie qualifies them.
Also it really should have been 1-1, how Doan missed that opened goal I have no idea, why head it back towards the keeper and players? That was like a Senior NT moment
Sugimoto and Kubo have some speed/pace.. Ogawa on the other hand... doesn't. Anyways, I hope his injury isn't serious. As frustrating as he is, his height alone is useful enough in U20 tournaments.
does the 2nd goal hurt Japan's chances of advancing with a draw? real shame Japan missed 2 open net headers in the 2nd half, although the first one was the 15 year old. Yeh Kubo got bullied off the ball a lot, but was decent in the 2nd half. He's already probably the best passer on the entire team.
Missing Ogawa will be huge, at least tactically speaking. Kubo... he's doing really well. I still hope Japan will go through (and Kubo to be at U-17 WC, because he needs to live his own time).
I don't think so, with 4 points is really easy to advanced as one of the best thirds. The other 3rds right now have only 1 point (Vietnam and USA will play tomorrow). Maybe we could arrange some tie with Italy, they could be group leaders, but I don't think Uruguay is going to lose against South Africa.
Uchiyama was always taking a massive risk with no genuine back up to Ogawa, if Tagawa didn't play last night then WTF is he doing there... Shows just how clueless Uchiyama is bringing on Kubo so early. Then again, I'm not sure if there are similar 180cm+ strikers in this age category.
