I thought the music playing wasn't as frequent as last year and except for the first goal kick and corner the Red Army was not played over top of. There was no Michael Jackson. If we have to accept there will be music I'd say Saturday's was a decent balance. It's not as bad as KC with their music and sound effects.

So I ask again, who else is interested in going to the Menace-KC game that kicks off in the afternoon on Sunday? Afternoon kickoff means we dont have to leave early or get back to town late. It's an Open Cup Qualifer, the guys will appreciate it.

I have State Cup games with my kid, and won't know if they advance until after thier game. So, I won't know my availability until after 11:00 am anyhow......

I guess that probably means I can't go. But, I do agree with you that they could use the support and would appreciate it.

Alright, I was waiting to hear back from Alonzo and Cindy to see if they were going to go. They are not.

So here is what is up. The KC game on Sunday is played in Liberty, MO which is actually the northest of KC so it will only take about 2:30 to get there (assuming us adults don't need to stop, except for one in Bethany ) Kickoff is at 2pm so we can leave by like 11am and get there with some time to spare and should be back in town by about 7pm.

I checked with my rental place, with Kazan and his fiancee already in the cost is $10 per person, and will lower if one or two more people ride with us, plus a bit for gas. If anyone in the DSM area needs picking up, I can do that too (Lemons?) RegionIIFutbolr you sure you can't afford sharing this cheap ride?

Game tickets are $6 but more than likely we won't have to pay unless the players utilize all of the Menace allocation of free tickets. They did not last year.

If anyone wants to follow we can set a meeting place and time to drive from.

So who is with me, and who wants to follow?

we're running down to CR and back on saturday so my dad and I can work on our car (replacing break pads) so i'll be out of cellphone reception for about 45minutes each time twice on saturday

Central conference gets two qualifiers. All central conference teams are in a single table.

The second place team has to play the [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif][FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]qualifying round against a USASA team.

I figured the easiest to find and best place, considering you have to leave you car for the day, would be to just meet where I get my rental cars. It's an Enterprise right on the corner of Hickman and 100th St in Urbandale. All you have to do is take 80/35 to the Hickman exit and go East. Map is Here

Zoom out once to get a better view.

I personally think that the PDL National Champion should get an automatic advancement to the second round. Not that we won't be there anyhow, but I hate to waste the effort to dispose of those pesky USL-2 and USL-1 teams.

Snake- did you know that Boltnar was not traveling this weekend? Neither is Hamburger (obviously after his red). I do know that Danilo is back....hope he shows up on this thread sometime to say hi.
