Specficially, I was talking about the Taylor family becoming investors in St. Louis' expansion effort: https://www.stltoday.com/business/l...cle_f77a29a7-9a97-577e-84ea-92107ace964c.html
Garber made, for him, some fairly definitive statements on the record while in St. Louis on Monday about that city and Sacramento being first in line for the next two expansion spots: https://www.stltoday.com/news/local...761-53b7-b2de-0adc8b6226ad.html#anchor_item_1
The odd thing is that I don't either using Tapatalk. But, it was the image on the thread... A picture of Biff washing Marty's car from Back to the Future.
I switched from taptalk to the BS app. I thought my favorite mod was able to deny my access to something else or it was a link to a thread from Texas. [emoji23]
The top thread on /r/AustinFC is a fan being confused about what the difference between Austin FC and Austin Bold FC.
...along with a bunch of other universities all over the country. And TBH, part of the “scandal” is that the tennis coach is getting paid directly to get the kid into school instead of the old-fashioned way of making a big donation to the university. Something something cutting out the middleman something. Still, as an alum, I’m all in favor of firing Center if this turns out to be true.
TBH, I think that you gotta donate more to a big-name university these days to get your kid in. I mean, when you’ve got an endowment of billions of dollars, why should you roll over for a mere six figures? That’s why the rich folks writing the checks were looking to enrich certain non-revenue sports coaches.
So-called chief revenue officer: https://www.linkedin.com/in/clarkbeacom For an organization with no revenue.
WTF is a Chief Revenue Officer? In all my years... I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such tomfoolery. I just did a google search and it all make sense now. I found this article: https://www.salesforce.com/quotable/articles/traits-of-a-chief-revenue-officer/
Since the man's main, and possibly only, known job skill is taking it in the seat for Andy LaughLame, they've got to make up some phony baloney job for him that doesn't require skills or brains or class. Keeping track of around $85 is perfect. Andy "I'm a Total Failure" LaughLame scooped up some low performance Crew employees who helped him fail miserably in every measurable area and took them to Austin based only on their personal loyalty to him. They think that somehow they will succeed brilliantly down there. Why they think this I cannot say. Beacom whatever is a prime example: a miserable loser and a joke.
I think they tend to be busy running their teams. The kind of heavy lifting the folks in Austin don't have to worry about, I suppose.
A few tidbits from Austin: a poster there looked up the re-zoning application for McKalla. He says they are increasing the size of their stadium to 22K. The city of Austin is charging $54820 for the review of the application. And the entity which it's billed to is still Team Columbus Soccer LLC, residing at 1 Black & Gold Blvd, here in Cbus. I'd laugh if something got sent here for followup and found its way to the round file.
I think Clarkie's first job will be to assassinate whatever their first mascot is after a couple of seasons. He excels at that. And then he will cozy up to someone who runs the Supporters Group, and then when they leave for Sacramento in 5 years, he will burn his bridges in a blaze of glory. Old dogs never learn new tricks.
Are there any public legal documents that show the Haslams/Edwards own Mapfre Stadium or a share in MLS? With everything that Don has been known to do and the deceitful ness of this league, I’d feel better with proof of ownership (operator ness). I’m not saying Dr Pete is anything but genuine but crap like Team Columbus applying for zoning changes in ATX get my head spinning. I think a public display of cash investment in something soon would help the Columbus public endear to Haslam/Edwards. I’m talking beyond light bulbs and banners.
Team Columbus was Precourt's LLC. He's apparently using the same name in Austin. The Haslam/Edwards partnership has its own LLC, who are now the owners of the Crew. It's easy to setup a Delaware LLC (costs a couple hundred bucks) so there's no reason for PSV not to have a new one with a more Austin appropriate name. But then again, it's PSV we're talking about.
