This is pretty funny though...Haven't we been told the last 4 years that MB90 is NOT a 10 or an 8, and that it was Klinsy's fault his play suffered? Now he's terrible as a 6, and we needa move him back to an 8/10. The only thing that works is the tried and tested "the other CMs around him aren't good enough, and not allowing him to play well". Let's stick with that one.
Don't have access to ESPN and now also Univision (dispute with Roku). Are there any free streaming sites still around that are relatively safe?
Per Sarachan, there'll be a "number of changes" in the eleven from the Colombia game. He remains coy about the details (because gamesmanship, I guess?), but he did confirm what everyone knew, that Guzan will start in goal. Could this be *gasp* the benching of Michael Bradley?!?!?! In which case, there's only one real question: Who takes the armband, Guzan or Wil Trapp.
It sounds like you have sling? They have Sling orange and blue. One of them has Fox and the other has ESPN. You can switch in seconds and the price isn't much different from what I remember. If you get both together it's like $35/mo as opposed to $25 singly, iirc
I think the play of two central middies (MB and Acosta) would deserve a benching, but I can't see Sarachan gutting the midfield by dropping them both. I can imagine that for the same reason he called Bradley in, he retains him in the center of the park surrounded by replacements like Trapp and Fafa or Amon. I can see him leaving Wood on the bench in favor of Nova, but I would imagine he keeps Green. Saief is likely a makeweight.
apparently Gareca is making 6 changes to his usual 11 Out goes Gallese - GK Santamaria - Central Defender Trauco - Left back Yotun - CM Carrillo - RM Cueva - AM Yotun, Carrillo and Cueva are key players in attack so will be interesting how Peru play without them In goes Carvallo - GK - former DC United player Callens - Central Defender - NY City Loyola Pena Polo - RM - Portland Hurtado
You could also just go to the game - I'm sure there'll be plenty of leftover tickets - and enjoy the great gameday experience at Rentschler Field, the finest corporate airfield-turned-stadium you'll ever see, possibly. And you can experience the wonderful attractions that East Hartford, Connecticut has to offer - such as the park, and the other park. And after the game, you can hop on over to downtown Hartford and marvel at how the entire district goes completely dark after 8 pm, without one single person on the streets - like a ghost town, where the only lights are from the single Subway shop that stays open until 10. (I lived in Connecticut/hated Connecticut)
Whatever changes Sarachan makes, I hope he changes out the midfield by 70' because the system he(arena) uses really forces the midfielders to run like mad up and down the pitch.
Hey, not everyone in Hartford works for the insurance industry. Some people are employed by United Technologies - which is tremendously exciting. Did you know UTC operates the tallest elevator testing tower in North America - right in Connecticut? It's one of the state's greatest roadside attractions!!!! It is not open to the public.
in the 3 post world cup friendlies Gallese, Santamaria, Trauco, Yotun and Cueva started in all 3 games Carrillo started in two and only missed Germany cause of injury Gareca is not usually one for major lineup changes so will be interesting to see how his new lineup goes
So we're playing a Peru with half of their B players. There's no excuse for not winning this one. Although being a friendly what should matter is how the team looks on the field.
I saw that Renntschler (sp?) Field is now Pratt & Whitney Field. Pratt has been huge in Hartford area for many years.
Remember we lost toast TNT B team in a game that truly matters. This team is capable of losing to anyone.
