Why is it OK for Trump to say "we want better relations with Russia" while Obama is not allowed to talk with Cuba, Iran, Venezuela etc.? No need to answer.
That line is effective if used very rarely. As in, once during the three debates. Otherwise, it's just weak, as with sighs and eye rolling ... a sign that the other candidate is getting under your skin.
it sounds childish even using periodically. Interrupting with one word interjections sounds petty. Gathering your thoughts with a fully explained rebuttal would seem more adult and even Presidential.
Oh, ok. Well, I guess since she didn't beat the unstoppable Obama she must not be smarter than the people she did beat.
Take Venezuela out of that question as frankly the issue is not all the same. But Cuba and Iran involve the same type of dynamic. The answer is really pretty much the same, even if the issue involves different groups. In the case of Cuba, everyone knows that the Cuban-American lobby (which doesn't represent Cubans even in Florida, but rather Cuban emigres who have managed to build the connections, wealth and influence and developed a creed that isn't even about Cuba or Castro anymore) is influential -- and more so in the Republican party than the Democratic party. Until there is an equally influential lobby in opposite to them, it takes a politician with some conviction to pursue a line that isn't what these folks want. I know who that was directed to, but sorry I couldn't resist.
Tweeter works for the Toronto Star Donald Trump made 37 false claims at last night's debate. #TrumpCheck pic.twitter.com/awzGUZ5wPX— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) October 20, 2016 If you have a twitter account you can run through the images easily, if not ... sorry, maybe someone can post a link to where these are on a better site. Of course, on my morning TV news and radio news on the drive in, all I heard was unchallenged tape of Trump saying many of the things that were pointed out as lies. So much for a tough press holding wanna-be leaders accountable (or any of them being laughably called liberal). Pence says his answer was correct on not automatically accepting the election results, something crazy might happen ... well if that's your position it would have been easy enough to just say "yes, in the event that something unprecedented doesn't occur on voting day". But this has become his rallying cry somehow. Oh well, good thing I stocked up on ammo in case his fans decide to overrun my country compound Maybe I should get some night-vision equipment
I've said before that Obama going out and doing a standup routine (and doing it well) when the Bin Laden shit was going down is pretty amazing. This is one cool cat.
That's why I hold out no hope for the GOP, even after the Trump debacle. None of them are bothered by that. None. They bemoan Trump's deportment, they bemoan him saying the election was rigged, they bemoan how he comes across to women, etc. But nonstop fabrications ... hey, no problem. None of them believe that if conservative principles are better, that they and should be supported by truths.
Yeah, we know it's a movie. And an amazing performance by Christopher Waltz. Of a chilling, murderous Nazi. Which makes it an interesting choice on your part. Weren't there any gifs of Ralph Fiennes' equally brilliant portrayal of Amon Goeth that you could have used instead?
