I haven't looked in south africa's squad but that piennar kid for Everton is really good. Last night I heard that Estudiantes might lose 5 players due to offers from europe. Too bad the Copa Libertadores finishes after the World Cup

Piennar is probably their best player...plays real well has great skill and class unfortunately the rest of the squad is not so great...they friendlies they have played seem to show the exteme lack of depth they have...

but ne ways yeah...the MNT is affecting our league as well...its been a borefest since they left!

Teams like Chivas Pumas are suffering quite a bit, and like i said Chivas apart from those 5 nt players they have 3 or 4 more injured that were starters as well... expect chivas to play with 1 starter for the remainder of the season or whatever is left for them to play.

Now seeing who Banfield will face their history! Chivas has a good chance against Velez it's not like their facing Corinthians. San Luis vs Estudiantes thats gonna be a good match San Luis have all their players so it should be good game depending on the ref. Then on Wednsday you got Flamengo vs Corithians should be a good one as well I say a Maracana speacial lol. Then Thursday Cruzeiro vs National another good one dam action pack week.

With the big difference that Chivas is not fielding reserves and U-20's because they choose to. As a matter of fact there are more players missing due to injury(6 players) than NT duty(5 players). Can you punish a team for having half the team out due to injury? Do you remember Chivas in 2005? They were doing great in Libertadores until it was time for the Confederations Cup and Lavolpe took half of the team. Was Conmebol supposed to do something about it back then also?

And it does make sense when you consider that Aguirre hasn't had a chance to really train local players, he came during the WQC and had to choose from what he already had in hand. He was not going to start from zero when he had no games nor time to practice and get to know what players would work best for him.

And just like Argentina and Brazil don't call Kaka, Messi, etc...Mexico doesn't call Gio, Marquez, Salcido, etc or any of the players that play in Europe. This is only with local players because like i said before Aguirre needs time to practice with the local players, during the WCQ he just had time with the Euro players.

Why does it matter, either way if a Mexican team loses your gonna blame it on the refs like you do every year.

I find it curious how the mexican teams always somehow are missing all these first team players. It seems like its always the reason for not performing well.

I sometimes don't post in this thread but I do read some of the posters comments that are non-Mexican or support a non-Mexican club complain about how the ref screwed their team over the other night so you can't just blame the Mexican club fans and yes their is corruption in the Mexican league with our refs. In the past Libertadores Mexican clubs are mostly the ones to get screwed by south american refs just my thoughts.

So, it looks like Estudiantes is sending a B team to Mexico to play San Luis. Players who will not make the trip include Juan Sebastián Verón, Mauro Boselli, Rodrigo Braña, Marcos Angeleri, José Sosa and Leandro Desábato.

Apparently they want to go after the Argentine title first, and then they expect to be able to beat San Luis at home. I guess it's a matter of priorities, but maybe they are underestimating the Mexican club?

It's hard to underestimate San Luis. They're dead last in the Mexican Clausura (this year called Torneo Bicentenario) and playing very weak football.

They even lost more games at home than those they won (home record: 3W, 2T, 4L).

Corinthians x Flamengo will be a great game. Flamengo has to win.:D

São Paulo is playing very bad nowadays. Our coach is stupid. But I believe.
