Something tells me that the OC attendance will be pretty good in 2017.

Wonder if this plays into the reported rebranding coming to OC Blues?

Also very good news for the Blues. They've limped along for years, hopefully this will spur a greater interest in them.

I don't think the rebrand will have anything to do with LAFC. They are seperate initiatives. The rebrand is part of the new owner James Keston's acquisition of the club. The LAFC affiliation is a product of convenience on LAFC's part.

True it's clearly not the reason, but given the rumored names they've been trademarking OCFC, etc... you have to wonder if they didn't consider a partnership when coming up with potential names.

Any word on if they're going to stay at their current stadium?

I think you're underestimating the mob of LAFC fans who will be looking for some soccer, any soccer, to support. I can see the Blues attendance averaging over 2k in 2017. Whether or not that will continue into 2018 when LAFC starts playing is another story, but it will be a hell of a kickstart for OC.

The most obvious choice is Titan Stadium. I've been told the expense drove them out, but it's an amazing stadium.

No I'm sure LA folk will come over to OC to watch the team this season. But I don't think the Blues will base their brand on LA. This may be a muilt-year thing, but I can't imagine that eventually LAFC won't want it's own USL side.

Likely Stadium will be Great Park. Brand new one being built. It is pretty far along as well. 5000 capacity.

I would say it all depends on how the relationship between both clubs roll.

USMC actually. But yeah I found a site plan and it looks to be down the freeway end of the old runways near the interchange as you say.

OC Blues were in negotiations with the County/City earlier this year about this. So this is most likely happening.

Read about the kinda funny storyline of the Blues and the City:

Are the Orange County Blues in the process of building their own stadium?
    http://www.angelsonparade.com/2015/...lding-their-own-stadium-irvine-great-part-usl

Irvine: OC Blues stadium rumor unfounded
    http://www.ocregister.com/articles/stadium-684729-park-soccer.html

Whats funny is that by reading all the sources, its clear there is a stadium being built there and the OC Blues were most likely just talking to the city about rent. The 2nd article title seems to make it seem like its contradictory.
