    I agree, but for practical purposes it may amount to the same thing.

    I don't believe - and obviously you don't either - that Legends has the slightest interest in managing Obetz. Nothing to do there anyway except mow the grass, empty the trash and wait for 2021.

    But in a larger sense, if Obetz insists on carrying out their threat, the Crew is done there anyway. There's no way on God's green Earth that the Haslams will allow themselves to be held up like that. Demand that the Browns create some kind of "skills competition" for their benefit? Yeah, like that's gonna happen, even if the players union wasn't likely to stroke out over it.

    And if he has to, a guy with a couple billion dollars will come up with someplace else to practice.

    They might have gotten somewhere approaching the Browns and asking nicely and privately for some quid pro quo. Maybe some player appearances or promotions or whatever. But leading with a very public threat unless you don't get something that the team probably can't give you even if they wanted to, which they don't?

    Good luck with that.

    No, nobody needs to worry about Legends Sports running Obetz. Arranging for moving vans, maybe.
