Disappointing. I think it will be another season of being done after the first round of the playoffs.

Would love to get DM(to replace Herrera) who I think has played his way off the team or a CB to partner with Chanot.

If not a DM I would just go for another attacker and try to score our way to a trophy. We've been lucky so far that David has been fairly injury free with his age. Without him I doubt we'd make the play offs with this current team, tbh.

Defense wins championships and outgunning teams can only get you so far. Its no coincidence that NYCFC only started to play better when they finally got some defensive bite in that midfield with Ring and Herrera. They need to keep that going and a replacement for Herrera should be top of the list for offseason transfer moves.

Absolutely. That and a new right back should be mandatory for next season. But I don't know if you need DP caliber players for those positions to be filled adequately either. I think either position could be filled by another Wallace type signing. Although I wouldn't be against signing a big name midfield destroyer either.

Looks like they've decided to upgrade a little early! I like the move but I'm hoping they can swing Thorpe (British CB who's trialing with us) as well. We need the backline depth right now.
