Yeah LA is where I would bet he ends up even though he's not a player they really need. But with the Galaxy appearing as though they are trying to cut costs, you'd think that we should be able to offer a higher salary. If that even matters to Honda.
I hope we can get him but apparently Donovan has an offer from RSL and an "Eastern conference team" I would love to have him! lol
Reports: Miguel Camargo to sign with NYCFC - https://t.co/sus2cZ8vV0 - by @Christian_Araos #NYCFC #MLS— EoS (@EmpireOfSoccer) December 29, 2016
I would love Donovan. I don't even care how old he is. He could end up being an amazing 30 minute super sub, especially when you're down.
I think you'd get more hustle from Donovan than Lamps and he'd be a great mentor for the younger players. I'd prefer Honda but I wouldn't feel bad about getting Donovan.
Now there is the possibility that another Panamanian could be on his way--one or the other, not both. #NYCFC w/ 2 primary needs-at the back & in the mid-AM Miguel Camargo & CB Harold Cummings are the names I heard-1, not both could sign #MLS— Glenn Crooks (@GlennCrooks) December 30, 2016
Looks like Mena's gone! I'm pretty happy about this move! http://www.empireofsoccer.com/nycfc-loan-jefferson-mena-to-barcelona-s-c-56786/
Great news. He got a little better last season, but not enough to justify his salary and int. slot. Also shows that we are definitely going to be investing in the back line considering all the defenders from last season that aren't returning
Apparently not the Chairman of Barcelona went on twitter and announced it then backtracked and said they were still talking. So I think it'll happen as both parties are interested in making it work, from what I've seen and heard.
This guy is now saying it's a done deal. Panamanian full international, AM Miguel Camargo, will join #NYCFC-for the record, it's still the holiday season #MLKDAY @NYCFCNation— Glenn Crooks (@GlennCrooks) January 10, 2017

Let's keep transfers in here. Not going to pretend like I know anything about him, but I love these loan with option to buy deals we are doing
Maybe - but there's something to be said for going after former Real Madrid players. Once you've gone there, it's hard to slum it at some mid-table team where you have to work your ass off for a so-so salary when you could be living in luxury in Manhattan with anonymity and a great salary.
Juve just signed Rincon who I assumed was a long term replacement for Khedira. If he carries over his Genoa form to Juventus I wouldn't be surprised if they put Khedira up for sale at the end of the season. I w0uld be surprised if they let him go now though. He still plays regularly.
Rincon and Khedira are two different type of players, you really can't compare the two, especially how Khedira's being used at Juve. Khedira is a starter, there's no way they're letting him go in January. None. Also, I wouldn't call Juve a mid-table team where you have to work your ass off for a so-so salary. Khedira is making €5 million a season at Juve. And you need to remember how Italy reports salary, in net terms, so his salary is really €10 million. He has a contract until 2019.
Yeah I call BS on the Khedira rumor. This team doesn't have that Chinese level money to make this work for Juve. I would hope they sign someone to replace Lamps in the winter window as I'm not a fan of summer signings although Chanot was a great signing mid season. Going forward I'd like the team to try and sign some defenders and either a AM to replace Lamps or a true DM to partner with Pirlo and you have Tommy Mac playing as your AM.
