Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 No, same here. I'm not going to support any team just for the sake of it. After getting so hit up and stressed about every Arsenal game, I prefer to just let myself enjoy the football for once. Of course Boca feels a little bit closer to me because I visited La Bomabanera last year and loved it. Either way I just loved Argentinian football. To me it seems like they play it just the way football should be played, with passion, skill, character and less publicity! Yeah, I get that - I look forward to watching it every week. Its only an hour long here, but still great and it keeps me informed. How about the way the Veron-inspired Estudiantes claimed the Apertura title a few months ago!
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 I really didn't get to watch Man Utd play much when Veron was still there, so I'm not going to pretend like I know, but just from watching videos, you'll see he made a lot of assists - but mainly in the CL. Many of the assists he did make in the Premiership were on the counter attack. I just think that perhaps the EPL has too many players that will close you down and crunch you before you get the time to look up and make a great pass.
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 yeah u dont get alot of time on the ball here as alot of south americans have found out
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 I swear I was meant to be Argentinian. I play with an Argentinian style - or so I've been told, I'm the same height and weight as Messi, and left footed. I've been told I look Argentinian, and when I went to Argentina I felt at home! Strange...I guess I'm just a poser.
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 I learned what it's like to be Cristiano Ronaldo tonight- not in the talent aspect, but being fouled every time I dribble at pace. In two 20 minute games, I was fouled 14 times(scorekeeper kept track for whatever reason). I've never been in so much pain before, since the hardwood basketball court floor doesn't really give. and to top it off I got a bloody nose after getting punched in the face.
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 ouch sorry to hear, did you at least get to finish like c.ronaldo and rub their faces in it
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 somewhat. I had 2 goals and 5 assists. but, we played down a man each match and didn't have our keeper. so we lost both games. still a little pissed about it, but we won our first game the night before, so we still might advance in the tournament. I don't even care if we do- the one kid that a refs hates our team ever since last semester we beat them 8-0 and I did a cartwheel after my 2nd goal. and it's his team that we beat in our first game in this tournament. I got tripped in front of my own goal, our keeper hardly got possession and had it stole and they put it right in the net.. and he came up to me and said he played advantage since it went to one of my teammates
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 My friends I were extremely bored at school break today, so I decided to have a bit of fun! The guys two grades below me were playing football, and left their school bags behing the one wall. Sooo, I tied the straps of 12 backpacks together. The people came back from playing football and each person lifted their back a few cm's into the air only to drop it again! Their reactions were brilliant, but the best was to come... Ths one guy pulled his bag up as other people were geting their bags, and pulled the knots so tight that they coudn't get it untied. The other guys got so irritated that their was a little 'handbags' and the ones guys lunch got thrown on the grass and punched in the face! Anyways, they got to class 10 minutes late after some inconvenience! Very mature thing to do, isn't it~
Re: NSR/Off-Topic #8 I remember my friends putting a lock and it got like 5 bags locked up when they lifted it they were like wdf!
