Bill Maher said it best: We are gluttons because we have a holiday where we stuff food into other food. For that I am thankful. Thankful to live in the US no matter how bad our President is. Thankful we're going to the World Cup and thankful that this damn semester is nearly over.
Most importantly I'm thankful for family. Also thankful for my health and employment. I'm thankful for the enjoyment I've received from soccer and bigsoccer. For friendships, sporting opportunities, and entertainment. I'm also thankful I only have one forum like this one to moderate!
I am a grumpy man and i don't celebrate Thanksgiving Day..... I'll appreciate if somebody sends me a turkeyleftoversandwich.

I'm a vegetarian so no turkey for me, and I'm not really thankful for anything. Every year has been the same expect my beard gets thicker and thicker and my back can handle less strenuous exercise every time.
confidence is growing? get an organic grown turkey! keep eating those veggies alone and no good things will happen to you..... marry xmas to you in that extreme case of thankless mind set.
DId i forget to mention I am Mexican and we don't celebrate thanksgiving day? I live in Canada and coz of this I have to join in with the celebrations but have no real interest in it. I think I'll just got to the kitchen and prepare a delicious organic dinner full of veggies. Yummy!
I think I might have to include myself in the "lacto-ovo vegetarianism" group Although I do not drink milk nor eat eggs. The only way I could eat eggs is in bread. No cheese, no mayo or anything like that. I never liked eggs anyways and the smell has always been pretty disgusting. As to milk, I can't comprehend why someone would drink the milk from another species. Animals don't do it and so are we but yet we do drink it. Past infancy there is no need milk and the nutrients can be consumed from other sources, plus calcium and vitamin d are added to the milk. This is just me and have absolutely no problem with people eating meat. I personaly am better and healier than before so I don't think I'll change.
leaving nutrition aside...... I am thankful my country's u-17 beat brazil 3-0 in the final and did what our NT can't do.
