    Peru:
Duvan and Roger really made Peru look foolish on defense last time around late in the second half. But some of that is attributed to them playing with 10 men.
Let's see how this one plays out and what adjustments Gareca does to compete with us and make it a better match.

    Ecuador:
They suck and are trying new players and tactics. But with the way our offense has been lately it may be a close game. Hopefully we do not see too many experiments or new starting faces but I am expecting that we probably will see those things. And a freezing, boring autumn match in New Jersey could be the result of all of it.,

Squad announced. Arias, Quintero and James all back. This looks like the complete squad of everyone who will be involved when the games get serious, Borre is included as well as Jeison and Oscar Murillo as well as Fabra, sounds like this camp will be the real deal for the squad with guys who are in the plans even if they have playing situations (like Fabra). We'll see how CQ handles it but I think he has a good squad here and I'd like to see Morelos get a look with the starters.

will have to make room for Duvan and possibly Falcao. I still think these 2 are still in contention.

I'm disappointed Cantillo continues to get snubbed, especially when you see Cuellar is making the list. Carrascal, considering his age, I think can use a bit more time although he's already on the rise at River. Surely he's had more minutes and presence than Campuzano at Boca.

    Agree.

but Im refering Rafa Carrascal (america besta playe) not Jorge( he is well in u-23)..chirstina river also have been impressive.

Queiroz is just snubiing the players of our league.......they are onli quality if they play in foreign...

Yeah those guys are probably fitness dependent I'd think if they are healthy they are on the list.

Also agree with what everyone is saying that Cantillo really should get a shot. Cuellar I think is a good backup for Barrios but moving to such a weak league should hurt him long term.

I thought the same about Quinte and Borre. so how come he invited them? Even if it's only the preliminary squad and everyone knows the will play with River. So what's the point?

What a huge mistake of him to leave Nacional for Boca. Just like Morelos back then. Left wayyyyy too early.

that's hard to say. Barrios arrived at Boca (from Tolima), pretty young and thrived.
Falcao and James also arrived in Argentina as kids. Balanta, Duvan Zapata, Guarin, Perea were young as well. I think what's hurt Campuzano is he came in at a time of a transition for Boca and in a position where they were already pretty covered. I think he would have thrived in River.

The difference is that all the names you mentioned played several years in the league and were significant players. Barrios was the FPC top midfielder in 2015. But Campuzano had one good season with Nacional and that's it. Way too early to move abroad and to a stressed team like Boca.

Yeah Campuzano went to boca so quickly....this is his only second year in first division football. He had bad luck of Alfaro....surely with Gallardo would be a differente history.

Barrios was already captain of tolima, he arrived with mucho more experience.

You know it could have been that James asked not to be called last break because his son was due any time. Would make sense why they made up some bullshit since they seemed to be keeping it under wraps?

Actually in September it also made sense since he joined Real Madrid unexpectedly and needed to join the team if he wanted to be taken in consider by Zidane.

We need to become hard asses too

fine you can keep both for these meaningless friendlies but come the Olympics if Borre isn’t good enough for the Copa America team then he is allowed at the olympics

if a random 20 year old pops up next year or next u20 then they have to let us bring them. Too much these clubs go don’t do X or Y but when it comes to U20 they tell us to fk off. Then you see where the guys Brazil and Argentina call up and it’s like wow our fed sucks !

No matter what the CONMEBOL or South American Club teams say FIFA has jurisdiction over this sorta stuff and Queiroz can just say screw you River Plate. I am calling whoever I want to and you cannot do anything about it.
Especially since this is his last opportunity at experimenting and implementing his philosophy and tactics before the official matches start.

However, Queiroz may want to continue a good relationship with River specifically since they seem to be doing a very good job with our players.

It is a tough situation and I can see the arguments on both sides.
