I heard, from our general manager, actually, that ALmeyda's main issue was with Higuera(but did not name him) just said it was the directiva. Higuera was a cancer in chivas, like I said. The first time I watched/heard Higuera...it was like the first time I heard/watched Scaramucci. ANyway.
Also, I'm sure the FMF has already approached him and was like, I'm outta here. I still think he is our next Tri coach, although everything is up in the air.
All the players posted a message on instagram talking about supporting almeyda. The message is long, and talks low key about the directiva also.
This is the toughest news to take in. How many chivas fans are there? We should all pitch in $10 and buy the club. Have yearly donations to allocate transfer funds etc...
Yeah good luck with that. I'm almost sure that Chivas is bankrolling his Omnilife crap. Don't think he sells it now.
Third time is the Charm -- The first time JLH tried getting rid of Mati was when he hired Jaime Ordiales [Sep 2015] as GM in the hopes that Vuce would take over as coach. However, King Midas did not want to work with Yorch. “Hubo una posibilidad hace poco tiempo, pero creo que no era el momento para mí de estar en Chivas. Después de lo acontecido con la Selección Nacional, creo que la situación de que me invitara a trabajar una de las personas que a lo mejor fue de los que tuvieron mayor énfasis en la cuestión de que tenía que salir de la Selección, como fue Jorge Vergara, se me hizo incongruente cuando se opinó mal y se juzgó por dos partidos”. -- Vuce Second time [Feb 2016] was when Sampaoli was offered the post. "I appreciated the call from the Chivas people, but I won't speak with any club in which a professional [coach] is working, above all out of respect for [current Chivas coach Matias] Almeyda, who I think highly of," Sampaoli told AS. Where did it all go Wrong? Well, JLH always wanted to play real life FIFA Manager and got that chance at Chivas. He sacked the De la Torre's after they dismissed his suggestions for player line-ups and transfers. Ultimately he clashed with Almeyda over the team's direction. JLH after all was responsible for bringing in the players that would make the league title possible: Orbelin, Pizagol and Pulido and would get almost no recogniton with the Argentine reaping all the praise. In the end Almeyda had made a deal with a scorpion and got stung. No surprise there as he arrived to Guadalajara while Chepo was still at the helm. Now he leaves in similar fashion, through the back door, with his replacement most likely already tied up. IMO, Almeyda did not want to be a part of this Chivas project which will focuse on youth players. The Argentines stock would drop if he missed out on three straight Liguillas -- CCC and Copa MX glory are soon forgotten just ask Cruz Azul. He also did not want to quit as he wouldn't be able to keep his high wages. He is now out because he backed the players over the directiva which is struggling to maintain the team competetive during a financial crisis.
This directiva is a fucking cancer It’s nice to see so many Chivas fans behind the coach and players Time to hurt them where it hurts, their wallets I’m unfollowing the team on social media and am done buying jerseys & merch. I had planned on going to another Chivas game later this year but screw that! Not anymore
