It's not undeserved. He wasn't a good defender for many games. Too many mistakes, too slow to react. Simply put, you have to weigh whether it makes sense financially to keep him around as a squad player. If I was him, I would retire. What more can he accomplish? He's had a great career.
Well, that's because he had to fill in as a CB. In the final, when we got Pereira back, he played a libero to help out Gallito as DM and would glide as a third CB when defending. I think that us getting Pereira back and Salcido playing that function was the main reason we won star number 12. That shit allowed us to defend more securely while being able to add another body in the attack with Orbelin without leaving us vulnerable. Defense wins championships, and if he could stay for the Concachampions period, we should be fine.
Why do you say play over? He played with Gallito and Pineda in the final game. Perez has lost some juice, but he's a really good back up. We will be playing two tourneys, so this is great depth.
This. That was a great tactical move by Almeyda. Chapo and Aris also deserve a lot of credit for shutting down Tigres offense. Without their speed on the wings we would've lost.

Martin would be a good backup for Pulido. I'm not sure why Damn is a priority since we're deep in the wings but he is still relatively young and talented.

Who knows what form both Brizuela and Cisneros will be in once they are back training with the team, so it would be good to have another solid option on the wing Not really feeling Henry Martin though. He was playing great back in late 2015 when even Tuca called him to the NT with not that many 1st division games under his belt. I remember around that time there were rumors that Chivas wanted him but then he picked up an injury that put him out for Clausura 2016 and part of Apertura 2016, and once he came back he was never really the same. He's looked rather sluggish for the most part showing only glimpses of what he was before the injury. Then again, what other young Mexican strikers are there?

I actually don't mind it;in fact, I think I like it like that. The bottom rung of stars is getting crowded and they will have to become smaller star if more keep adding up--unless you start creating a circle, which I think will change the escudo. If you win three more stars, you could add them next to that red one. I don't know.
