They played pretty bad against Tijuana. They were so good the first 20 minutes but the level just dropped really terribly. Tijuana should have won by at least 3 if it weren't for Munioz. They better improve next week at home.

Agreed, Layun, Rubens and Aguilar played great but the rest of the mid and attack squad played like shit. big game coming up against LEON.

If it wasn't because Tijuana is now a relegation level team we would had lost by 3 or 4 it had little to do with el gordo's performance.
Under Mohamed it seems we'll go back to being mediocre, I dunno how fawking piojo did it.

Well I didn't expect this at all.

I have mixed feelings about it after his saying america was just another team.

But America definitively needed a striker and and Peralta is a good one. He is now part of this club and I wish him luck.

You guys will love Oribe when you finally see that despite the attention he gets, he is still an underrated killer, and an absolute warrior on the pitch (no pun intended).

He's a better all-around player than Benitez was when he went to CA. While Chucho's game was all about speed and power, Oribe's game is based on power, finesse, skill, toughness, vision and is a very smart player on top of that. He knows exactly how to react, and when to do it. He is as good in the air as he is with his powerful and accurate strikes. There isn't a thing he can't do on the offensive end, but he's also excels on defense (led Santos in aerial duels and tackles won). The attention he draws will free up tons of space for Jimenez (if he stays).

I'm not sure why some of our fans are saying that he's on a downward spiral since he just finished having one of his most productive seasons. Santos led the league in goals scored, and that was without a good midfield - Ribair Rodriguez is a productive player, but he is a d-mid and not known for distribution, while JP Rodriguez is not even half the player he used to be. Crosas, for whatever reason, was not a part of the teams plans this year, despite being our one true creative mid. That was the extent of our midfield. I'm sure America can offer more than that.

Good luck, guys. Hope you don't waste his last 3 good years he has in him.

Quick Mendoza needs to step up his game. His first tournament was superb, despues como que se le subio a la cabeza. He has talent but needs to be consistent. I'm hoping Mohamed gives the young players a chance but I doubt it. He is not know for giving the youth a chance.
