Screenshot 2018-11-13 at 16.15.31.png my browser on both my phone and my laptop warn me that this site is not secure, in bright red letters on the left hand side of the chrome search bar. It seems to have started a couple of weeks ago. Its somewhat disconcerting.

@Janet H, you need to update/include the certificate.

My browser also says BigSoccer is not secure. It says:

"You should not enter any sensitive information on this site (for example, passwords or credit cards), because it could be stolen by attackers."

I don't do anything that would help a hypothetical hacker who knew my BigSoccer password affect me financially or on another website. While I would prefer my browser to think BigSoccer is secure, it's not a big deal to me. Occasionally my browser tells me not to go to a website rather than loading it, which hasn't happened with BigSoccer.

I thought I should tell them though. If I wanted to shop here or purchase a membership that warning would prevent me. They are probably losing money.

The reason is a little convoluted but here goes:

Last year google began to push websites to use https instead of http as a security update. A few months ago they began to actually began to display that little red triangle;"not secure" on browser address lines.

The forum software is built on an http platform and so this is difficult. We hand coded an update to make the LOGIN page https. This is the page where user credentials are passed and the only sensitive data we store. Once a member has logged in the site reverts to http (and the alert begins to display in browsers). Using https on all pages actually breaks the forum. Offsite links and hosted images no longer work, ads don't display, photos, etc.

So... as you login the page is secure (https) but once you have logged in the regular site is http. Since no login/pass info is being sent on these pages we believe this is safe and reasonable.

You can read more about the google alerts here: https://www.wired.com/story/google-chrome-https-not-secure-label/

Most of the threads on the Bayern forum seem to have disappeared. The 20th most recent thread was from 2016, that cant be right surely.

This doesn't have to do with the topic title, but it's still something to look into. Many forums don't get many posts, but if you look at the pages of 20 threads before the most recent one, it means there was a giant decrease in threads created per month/year/whatever amount of time if no threads disappeared,
