    Been a year since he was healthy. I am hardly a huge Lallana fan, but a couple seasons ago he was very good. He'd make for good backup, but it looks like another Sturridge situation in which the dude just cannot be healthy and thus cannot meaningfully contribute.

    Aquilani has an unfair advantage here, he was actually bought crocked as I remember and had a head start on the others.

    That was the particularly maddening thing about the Aquilani acquisition. With Alonso gone, Liverpool needed someone who could step right into the midfield; Aquilani was never going to be that player.

    Good call. Maybe replaces Owen as he was mostly injured after he left Liverpool?

    Don't think we'll be signing any goalkeepers that aren't intended to be anything more than a back up for a while, but this guy does have a cracking name!!

    Arse have withdrawn their contract offer to Ramsey and the media are saying he wants to come to LFC. I've never understood the fuss the media make about him, and pre-Ox I'd have been totally against it. seeing what Ox has developed into, maybe Ramsey could work out.

    that said, I don't know why we'd need him, and I'd much prefer to let Jones develop and get his chances.

    If Ramsey were 23 or 24, yeah, I'd be excited. But he'll be 28 shortly after arriving and we're already pretty full in the midfield spots.
