First, kudos to silverstein for dredging up a decade-old thread. http://www.njcaa.org/eligibility/faq One NJCAA school can offer me a full scholarship, and one school can't offer me anything. Why? Each institution belonging to the NJCAA chooses to compete on the Division I, II or III level in designated sports. Division I colleges may offer full athletic scholarships a maximum of tuition, fees, room and board, course related books, up to $250 in course required supplies, and transportation costs one time per academic year to and from the college by direct route. Division II colleges are limited to awarding tuition, fees, course related books, and up to $250 in course required supplies. Division III institutions may provide no athletically related financial assistance. However, NJCAA colleges that do not offer athletic aid may choose to participate at the Division I or II level if they so desire. I was putting together a full list of small-college national tournaments. Guess I'll use this thread for it. I still love the way the NAIA runs their tournaments. The R-32 is at home fields, and the final-16 is at one site. (They have 31 or 32 teams, depending on if the finals-site host gets a bye to the R-16.) It is also interesting seeing the different formats; for example, the NJCAA uses group play for some of their final sites. It would be a great honor to meet you and watch the game, but I did not find an easy commuting solution....
Thanks SJJ. Also attended the MidAmerica Nazarene v. Wayland Baptist opening round NAIA match. It was 100mph in the first half, up and back. Probably limited negative play...pound it forward quickly. Rather exciting. The temperatures, wind, and exhaustion got both in the second half and boy was it ugly. MNU got the game winner with 43 seconds left. And everyone sighed in relief when match was over. Lot of running in that one. Unbelievable. I thought you were a true fan. HA!

It's gonna be kinda ironic if Brandeis and Tufts have to play for a national title 11 hours from Boston.
