I forgot what thread I was in, assumed you were talking about Wright or McKinnie and got way too excited.
And by debut, I'm sure he meant an official debut with Schalke's U-19 side. That's going to be fun, seeing 3 Americans on the team at the same time!
He's signing with Schalke. Only way he doesn't is barring some last minute problem. He's pictured in training with Schalke every day, and he shows up to all the games in his Schalke gear. Here are two pictures of him from yesterday at the U-19 game (kid next to him is Haji's brother who's likely to sign in April).
Important day yesterday........................ Happy 18th Birthday to Nick Taitague! We'll probably hear something soon...............................
I'd love to know how he got around the registration window rules. Hearing that Nick Taitague (@NTaitague) has been cleared to play this weekend for Schalke U19 against Borussia Dortmund— J.R. Eskilson (@JREskilson) February 24, 2017
Does anyone else find it strange that there has been no official announcement that they've signed him?
In the lineup with Wright and McKennie. @bungadiri Nick Taitague at Schalke 04 #U19-Derby läuft. So spielt der #S04 beim @BVB! #schmiede pic.twitter.com/YLIB6OIwkl— Knappenschmiede (@knappenschmiede) February 25, 2017
And they lost 2-0. I couldn't find much info on any of three other than McKennie committed a foul that lead to the 2-0 goal from a free kick.
