The total soccer show podcast had a good 10 minute conversation about the banning of the Iron Front symbol last week. If anyone listens it’s the episode with Pablo Maurer. They dive into why think MLS handled it the way they did and why it kind of makes sense.
I'm just sad that LGBTQ rights and anti-fascism are considered political. And not just, you know, something decent human beings all agree on....
Well, I've been told that there are "good people on both sides." So shouldn't the good fascists and the good homophobes get their say as well?
Seems like it's been worked out: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/mls-lifts-ban-anti-nazi-symbol-following-fan-004335076--mls.html
it’s the right call. The whole “we don’t want to offend either side” thing was ridiculous. The other side is Neo Nazis. And if I remember correctly ACB has had a picture of a fist smashing a swastika for years and there were no problems. All is right and we can keep giving MLS money!
I guess the test will be when I go sit next to them with my Make America Great Again hat. Then we'll see if it's political or not.
