Orchard Park, NY-Ralph Wilson Stadium Cincinnati, OH-Paul Brown Stadium New Orleans, LA-Mercedes-Benz Superdome St. Louis, MO-The Dome at America's Center Indianapolis, IN-Lucas Oil Stadium Green Bay, WI-Lambeau Field I think that's it. Pretty good that the majority have hosted soccer.
Wonder how a match at Lambeau would turn up...maybe someday some German or Scandinavian teams should have a pre-season friendly up there
That month isn't likely. Normally there are no WCQs in December or January. The only WCQ I know of in January was on January 6, 2001 when Costa Rica beat Guatemala in the USA in a neutral site tiebreaker game after they finished tied for second in the Semifinal Group 3.
Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy hosted a soccer game in the ICC in 2013. https://www.wthr.com/article/42000-soccer-fans-see-2-0-chelsea-win-at-lucas-oil-stadium
All the rules say are that it's up to the referee to make a decision that the condition of the field of play or its surrounds or that the weather conditions are such as allow or not to allow a match to take place
And they played there again last month. Others on the last list on this necro-thread: St. Louis Dome -- Real Madrid vs. Inter Milan in 2013, but no longer an NFL stadium Lucas Oil Stadium -- Chelsea vs. Inter Milan in 2013 Newer stadiums in Santa Clara, Atlanta, and Minneapolis have all hosted soccer, so I think only Buffalo, Green Bay, and Cincinnati remain.
This thread should be: NFL stadiums that should never host soccer. Include list of stadiums that are too narrow, have carved out corners that obstruct views, or use fake grass.
Since this thread was last active, there are two new NFL stadiums--Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas hosted the Gold Cup final, and I don't think SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, has had a soccer game yet.
