http://pit.247sports.com/Bolt/NFL-destroyed-Patriots-tape-stealing-Steelers-signals-in-2002-39267006 Here's a part of the story, written by ESPN's Don Van Natta Jr.Seth Wickersham: "Inside a room accessible only to Belichick and a few others, they found a library of scouting material containing videotapes of opponents' signals, with detailed notes matching signals to plays for many teams going back seven seasons. Among them were handwritten diagrams of the defensive signals of the Pittsburgh Steelers, including the notes used in the January 2002 AFC Championship Game won by the Patriots 24-17. Yet almost as quickly as the tapes and notes were found, they were destroyed, on Goodell's orders: League executives stomped the tapes into pieces and shredded the papers inside a Gillette Stadium conference room." This new evidence confirms many former Steelers' players' sentiments that the Patriots had an unfair advantage in Pittsburgh's two AFC Championship Game losses against New England in January of '02 and '05. Back in 2008, former Steelers linebacker and current linebackers coach Joey Porter said as much while saying the Patriots' "stole" two Super Bowls from his team. Joey Porter is a man of honor and dignity. I knew he was speaking the truth when he said this, and now it's clear that the National Football League has been corrupt for more than a decade- maybe even as long as a decade and a half. Four Lombardi Trophies have been tainted under Goodell's watch. I'm not sure I even blame the Kraft/Belichick/Brady triumverate anymore for doing everything they thought they could get away with- this is all on Goodell's head.
I chuckled when I saw James Harrison might try to recoup his fine money from Goodell. Got to love him.
Depends on whether you love the NFL or not, or better put, HOW you love it. If you love it officiated like wrestling, keep scrolling. Welcome (back) to BigSoccer. Yes, you do- he's honest and forthright. I don't think he'll get his money back from this money and oxygen thief. Goodell works very hard at fining and harassing players not named Tom Brady.
Mother********ing subhuman dishonest thieving no mobility having scumbag QB and his handler Belichick. Tha saddest thign is, this team is good enough to have reached the playoffs, likely, in most of their "championship" seasons without cheating. They'll probably win against us this weekend, but I'll have no idea whether they did it honestly, and neither will any god damn body else. I used to think the arc of the moral universe bent toward justice, but now I'm not at all sure about that. Work certainly hasn't made the Steelers free.
The fact that the league acted in such a corrupt fashion should mean wholesale firings of Goodell and anyone else who destroyed evidence and covered up the Patriots. Where is the press asking Goodell when will he resign?
If by "those around him" you mean his teammates, I agree. Try winning something (just once!) without major controversy surrounding the win and the disdain will quickly evaporate.
Teammates, coaches, owner, fans. I spent my college years in Boston and eventually had to completely cut ties with everyone I know from the area because their attitudes following the Pats and Red Sox victories (and to a lesser degree the Bruins and Celtics) just got to be ridiculous.
Because he is a whiny, arrogant and entitled jerk. Getting hit as a quarterback comes with the territory. Brady questions every hit. He constantly looks and gestures at the referee. It has gotten old. I don't have an issue for late hits and being upset, but come on, not every hit is late. Brady, doesn't like getting hit. Throw in the years of cheating and it makes the Patriots and Brady insufferable.
Steel Curtain won't be back for a couple of years. James Harrison is their best pass rusher, and they really don't have a replacement at Safety for Troy. btw during the pre-game coverage, why did Antonio Brown's haircut(during his interview with Hines Ward) make him look like a special Tetris piece?? smh.

The 49ers have one of the great home uniforms in football. This alternate black home jersey is hideous. You really want to look like a Jerry Glanville team or the other team that plays in Oakland! Unbelievable.
Yep- they should stick with the 70s-80s era unis. They haven't changed very much (I think all of them have brighter colors, but that may be my visual memory versus modern television), while some teams like Tampa Bay changed totally and need to go back.
