This is kinda pathetic, considering how disrespected punters are compared the the athletic prowess required in the AFL.
This is great for Footballers who are great kicks (and there's plenty in the AFL, other possibilities would be Dustin Fletcher, Brendan Goddard, Trent Croad, Quentin Lynch, to name but a few) who retire from our great game: ship off to the US and earn as much in a season as they'd earn in 5 in the AFL for kicking a ball!
