Rumors have been swirling that the newest console will be unveiled soon. Major Nelson just confirmed that the newest Xbox will be presented to the world on Tuesday, May 21st @ 1P ET. http://majornelson.com/2013/04/24/xboxreveal/
Unveiling is tomorrow. And if you're on twitter and haven't been following @XboxRevealTent then you should be.

Saying "Xbox, on" will start the console up. Will support live television streaming.
I'm at work and couldn't watch the unveil, did they answer any questions? Such as price and backwards compatibility
Not yet ... I'm just reading tweets, getting general highlights, etc. Will share those details if/when they are made known. Some more highlights from Major Nelson: -EDIT- There's a second stream on GameTrailers going over the hardware details. Too bad I don't have sound on my work comp. http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/j8heeo/xbox-one-xbox-one-hardware-details--stream-
They showed a montage of Madden/FIFA14/UFC, some Forza 5, a bit of WatchDogs (if memory serves), some new game called Quantum Break (by Remedy of Alan Wake/Max Payne fame), and finished it off with a bunch of CoD:Ghosts stuff. Remedy Announces Quantum Break
That is not how you do a reveal, Microsoft. I really think they were torn on how they wanted to present the device. On the one hand I bet they felt their MTV reveal for the 360 really helped that launch so they felt the need to have a packaged pre-planned show. While on the other hand doing so short changed every aspect of their reveal. For example all the tv stuff made it seem like the new system is a just a huge expensive tv remote. Oh and it doesn't help that one executive says one thing about used game sales only to have company reps say the opposite. And what is up with saying the system doesn't need to be connected online but does need to be connected at least once every 24 hours? no to backwards compatibility. no word on price I came away from this reveal bummed and more confused than before it happened... dang Microsoft your E3 exclusives better not be made up of a whole lotta Kinect titles.
I've heard the aim of the platform is to destroy the used games market. I'm a PC gamer so it doesn't matter much to me, but were I a console gamer that would be one big reason not to buy this device. Buying used games and selling on titles I've finished (those with limited replayibility value) is part of my gamer experience.
http://news.yahoo.com/xbox-one-not-...024153.html;_ylt=At1RELF7aZP0DeMqU_nNnk_QtDMD not sure how accurate this article is, but it seems like the XBOne will be PC like...when you buy a game it's installed on the system and tied to your Xbox Live account...
Would you rather they do it like Sony with the PS4 and not actually show any hardware? Isn't that the whole point behind the new system? It's "one" device to do everything? Something from Major Nelson regarding used games; can't say it clarifies anything for me. http://majornelson.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-and-used-games/ Dante ... regarding WatchDogs, I was confused. There was a lot of media, etc that was released during/following the reveal talking about how it'll be an Xbox One title, but it all just blurred together and I thought it happened as part of the event.
That's cool.. A lot of announcements yesterday from various publishers saying that x game will be on the Xbox One. So far confirmed are Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed 4, Destiny, CoD: Ghosts, EA Sports games, Forza 5, and a couple more I'm forgetting. As for the used games thing, yes, you can buy used games and play them on your One and there will be no fee. Wired's story got everyone in a tizzy.
Do you have a source for this aspect of the story? Dills' quote only confirms that selling on will be possible, not that Microsoft won't demand a percentage of the money upon each resale.
It came from one of their twitter accounts. Microsoft also said that there will be a way for people to sell their used games online.
15 exclusive Xbox One titles, 8 of which will be brand-new IPs. http://www.gamespot.com/news/xbox-one-to-get-15-exclusive-titles-in-its-first-year-6408657
Nothing more was said about it. There's still a lot of time between now and its release date, which... has yet to be announced.
As someone who buys consoles (xbox over PS the last 6 years) with the main aim to play GAMES, I thought the whole launch was a disaster. The little whisle & knob shit they are trying to push is hardly innovative, it's not new, they're just lumping it all together in one system and trying to pass it off as some idea of a future never seen before. Most people will continue to use their laptops\tablets etc for most of the stuff they're doing, and the voice and motion control is gimmicky (we've learnt over the last few years that companies don't know what to do with motion control that is effective). The whole show was aimed at the American male market with it's sports shit etc, and the real market....gamers...pretty much ignored, it all reeked of trying to eek every last penny out of the consumer. There better be some sick exclusive game reveals at E3 for this thing to convice me otherwise, or I'll probably go with the Playstaion.........even though I dislike their controller.
