read the news yesterday. Well done and well deserved http://www.kawowo.com/index.php/foo...ecalled-as-cranes-land-bostwana-build-up.html
Guessing it didn't work out for Dane.....the Union signed Harryburg forward Yann Ekra. http://uslpro.uslsoccer.com/home/756167.html Ekra had 10 goals and 4 assists in 40 matches. Dane on the other hand had 23 goals and 5 assists in 67 matches.......more productive, not sure why they chose Yann over Dane but I guess it all boiled down to what happened during their trials. I couldn't find much on the Union's forum. Oh well, if he doesn't get picked up by an MLS team (and IMHO, he should), I hope we see him back. I know the MLS rosters are now frozen, does that also include loans? I'm guessing so but don't know all the fine print of MLS rules......
For those of you that haven't been following this year. CHSsoccer was started early this year by a fairly new soccer fan who had been in the newspaper business for more than 20 years, Dan Conover. He has done a fantastic job covering the Battery this year and has done some great interviews with players. His latest piece was on Nicki Paterson, Charleston Scottish stall worth midfielder. http://www.chssoccer.net/the-nicki-paterson-interview-part-1/ It is seriously worth your time to go back and read some of his other pieces this past year as well. great stuff and glad he lives in Charleston and has thrown his hat in as a Battery fan. I don't think there is another blog that covers a single team (or city) anywhere in the US better than what Dan has done this year.
Part 2 of Nicki's interview is up http://www.chssoccer.net/the-np-interview-part-2-culture-shock/#comment-1081
