42' 0-0 Canada two left throw-ins at midfield. 2nd one long to box top left, 1-v-2 and Mexico clear. Canada shoot from long range, deflected over endline left.

43' 0-0 Canada left corner, to 7m 1/4 right, headed out. Mexico settles and runs it out through box top mid-left, chips diagonally to circle back box right for #9 Janae Gonzalez running past the left flank. #12 Easther Mayi Kith backshields her off the ball, backpass to Foster.

44' 0-0 Canada to(ward) box top right, Mexico clear up their left but into touch.

45+1' (of +1') 0-0 #9 Borgmann goes down box right to 6m, gets a high cross/shot away over 2 defenders. Alvarado stretches high at 2m (her) left post, bats it down and catches the bounce.

HT 0-0. Mexico huddles on the field around Cuellar, which allows Canada to use the tunnel first.

46' 0-0 Canada kicks off, long backpass to Foster already waiting at box top right -- evidently a designed play. She boots it up the left, Mexico cede a throw-in.

47' 0-0 Canada switch and go down box right, out for another throw-in. Canada lose it over endline. Mexico promptly shank the gk right to Canada. Cross from the right, Alvarado catches.

48' 0-0 Mexico fouls just past midfield wide left. Canada switch and chip down wide left, Mexico clear it. Backpass to Foster, Canada rebuild ...

50' 0-0 Canada try short vertical passes up centerline, Mexico disrupt. Canada finally chips up centerline, bounces at arc top high and drops over a 1-v-1, Levasseur(?) chasing just behind #13 Monica Rodriguez. Both curl back to the ball's shadow at 15m arc right. Ball hits Rodriguez's left chickenwing over her head? Foul called on Canada first.

53' 0-0 Canada through-ball sends #_ racing down to 5m mid-right. Low cross smothered by Alvarado, no rebound for Lisi at left post.

54' 0-0 Mexico blast long up centerline, get a footrace to the spot. Foster comes out, scoops ball up as #_ tumbles down past her. No call. My frame rate is way too low to see collisions in real-time ... like a very fast slide show

55' 0-0 Mexico subs in (2 of 3) #5 Alma Martinez (DF) for LB #13 Monica Rodriguez.

56' 0-0 Canada right throw-in from box top. Mexico eventually intercept, blast way long up centerline, over everybody to Foster playing sweeper just above her own box top.

57' 0-0 Mexico bounce a ball down box left for #20 Jaqueline García a step ahead of the RB. RB slide-tackles and misses, García settles at 7m mid-left, curls back to 9m left post. Foster dives at ball/her feet, deflects ball over endline right. García goes down -- shoulder pain? No call, fans howl (in English?!).

57' 0-0 Mexico left corner, cleared.

61' 0-0 Canada chips from circle top left to box top left, but #19 Lisi offside.

62' 0-0 #9 Borgmann receives at 20m wide left, tries to drive 1-v-1 but Martinez takes ball, then clears it to Canada's back line.

63' 0-0 Canada right throw-in at 12m. Backpass behind midfield, up the right. Ball comes to 22m box arc tangent left. #_ shoots through Mexico's high back line, Alvarado dives left and catches low.

64' 0-0 Mexico left throw-in at circle back. Canada brings it up the left, crosses to Borgmann at box top arc left. She shoots wide right.

65' 0-0 Mexico gk (Alvarado doesn't take them) to the front half of center circle, Canada fouls. Mexico sails the fk long to Foster at 3m 1/3 right.

67' 0-0 Canada work the large perimeter, switch left to right, back to circle top, up the left. Cross blocked into touch. Canada left throw-in, back to circle top. Mexico challenge there twice, draw a foul.

68' 0-0 Mexico fk at circle front tangent left. Sailed to the scrum at 18m arc right -- #20 #20 Jaqueline García is way offside through box top left, behind everybody. Back flick-header pops over the wall, drops to 12m slightly right. García + 1 other arrive together, García shoots as Foster charges out -- under Foster, rolls into center back low. And -- she's offside  She was onside on the fk, but not after the header flick.

71' 0-0 Canada pass through traffic at midfield left. Go up wide left, Mexico take it away. They longball toward the centerline, into a bad 1-v-3. Canada take that.

72' 0-0 Mexico subs in (3 of 3) #8 Briana Woodall for #9 Janae Gonzalez.
73' 0-0 Canada subs in (2 of 3) #16 Sarah Stratigakis (MF) for #9 Emily Borgmann (FW).

74' 0-0 Mexico fouled at 31m arc right. Ref sprays the 10-yard line at box arc top right.
75' 0-0 Canada fk, sailed to Alvarado at 1m left post, easy catch.

76' 0-0 Mexico try box right for #20 García, lose it over endline.
77' 0-0 Mexico left throw-in from 13m, through box left but Mexico fouls in Canada's box.

78' 0-0 Canada right throw-in at box top, lost over endline.
79' 0-0 Mexico chip over box top mid-left, García chases down to 6-top mid-left -- contact, she goes down. But offside already.

80' 0-0 Canada play ball down to 6m wide left, but foul.
81' 0-0 Mexico's fk is intercepted. Canada promptly chip over box top to #7 Levasseur at 14m mid-left -- offside.

82' 0-0 Canada left throw-in just past midfield. They lose it. Mexico loses it up their right. Canada send #8 Fleming up left touch to endline, but they commit a foul at box top left touch behind the action.

83' 0-0 Mexico hoof it to Canada's back line. Canada pass rapidly to box top right, Levasseur(?) loses it to #4(c) Bernal. Mexico pass quickly to box top, but without the numbers for an attack, lose it over.

85' 0-0 Canada gk, to circle top mid-left. Mexico put it into touch. Canada try the right, Mexico intercepts. Too-quick long pass misses toward left touch, the lone runner was offside anyways.

86' 0-0 Mexico long ball up centerline, tricky 1-v-1 -- Foster steps above box top and sweeps ball around the 1.
86' 0-0 Mexico hit #20 García(?) at 30m centerline, 1-v-1. She does a drag-spin and gets behind -- but called offside?

87' 0-0 Canada press at box top right. #2 Simmrin Dhaliwal chips from 16m just inside box right for the upper left 90 -- but it curls the wrong way, just wide.

88' 0-0 Mexico fk at 27m arc left. Hard on-frame to the crossbar center, Foster tips it over?
89' 0-0 Mexico right corner, into the scrum. Shot scuffed wide left way high.

90' 0-0 Canada dribble down wide left, cut inside across box top. Backpass, ping around. Up the left, #19 Lisi clangs it through 5m box left and chases, but Alvarado is way out there and smothers it on her foot. +3', and here we go again --

90+1' (of +3') 0-0 Canada snipe a ground pass to hit #7 Levasseur running free to 20m mid-right, 1-v-1 but with wide lateral separation. Levasseur touches into box, shoots hard rising, Alvarado blocks it straight up and out of the picture. She backpedals to her heels on the goalline (her) left post, catches the ball.

90+3' (of +3') 0-0 Mexico send #18 Cruz to box top mid-left. The RCB(?) falls down!! Cruz settles and curls inward, shoots a rising curl back to the left post. Foster dives, not enough -- just wide by cms.

90+4' (of +3') 0-0 #6 Eva Gonzalez shoots from above box mid-right, wide left?

AER 0-0. Here we go, indeed :D

It sounds like one lone Jamaican woman doing the pbp. She clearly isn't familiar with both rosters, but she calls out the players' numbers fast enough to compensate, e.g. "6 to 4, to 14 ... taken by 7"

Mexico does a group lie-down and all staff/sub stretch legs session. Useful sense of urgency.

Snippets of live-mike leakage, as the pbp woman calls out instructions for the shoot-out: "this side, this side -- Mexico goes first?"

The interviewer is bilingual. He interviews:
    - Beverly Priestman in English
    - Leonardo Cuellar and #4(c) Rebeca Bernal in Spanish
    - #1 Emily Alvarado in English. She has not a trace of accent.

Trophy ceremony. USA should still be here in the stands somewhere ...

Fair Play: Canada. The player who comes onstage to accept it apparently has a sprained right shoulder. Canada's trainer comes up with her, and supports her right upper arm and wrist for every handshake.

Gloves, Golden: Canada #1 Riley Foster. Huh? Saving 4 of 8 pks avails naught :ROFLMAO:
    Boot, Golden: Canada #11 Marie-Mychèle Mètivier (7)
Ball, Golden: Canada #8 Jessie Fleming

CONCACAF doesn't do silver and bronze.
I sense the committee dishing out some anti-bunker bias ...

    Bronze medals: USA

    Silver medals: Canada

Gold medals: Mexico. They get the medals first, then line up across the front of the stage. Alvarado is the only one I see actually holding up her medal and looking at it.

    Group photo crouch!

A big dude in a suit is holding the trophy.
    #4(c) Bernal hoists it.

CONCACAF triggers the confetti mortars! Big mess all over the field ...
Bernal has used it as a smokescreen, she's at 7m wide right with the trophy!

All-tournament team, but I'm not transcribing that.

Cue Queen. CONCACAF did that in 2010, too, but these Mexicans don't know the lyrics in English.

Effing classless if that's the case.

That there were 8 Texans on the Mexican team is less relevant than the 8 Texans weren't on the American team. If they were invited that's relevant but I very much doubt they were. I imagine all of them would have gladly donned the red, white and blue. And if that's the case, meh, accept culpability and let them have their day. Steal a couple of there's and call it even.
