http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/46135415/ns/sports-olympic_sports/ Finally we know about what Pia thought about Hope participating during Dancing With the Stars (last two paragraphs of the article).

Seeing as this is a catch-all category, I thought you all might appreciate this little unofficial London Promo Video for the USWNT. The image quality is lacking since it's made from online clips, but I still think it's worth a view, especially since I haven't yet seen any good Olympic promos... Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_iHwjgLMpI
Managed to get a short interview with Becky Sauerbrunn before the DC United Women's match Wednesday, June 20:
Pinoe hosting a Google Hangout yesterday: http://www.nbcolympics.com/news-blogs/soccer/watch-google-hangout-with-megan-rapinoe.html
wow kristine lilly has a tattoo? boxxy has the olympic rings on her ankle? the information you learn.... hahah
You might want to sit down, take a few deep breaths, and remove all breakables from the immediate vicinity before encountering this totally unexpected bit of news: Megan Rapinoe told Out Magazine this week that she is gay. In other news, Anderson Cooper has outed himself....oh, wait! That's not news, either! Anyway, I thought I would mention that the Hope Solo save video on the ussoccerdotcom YT page already has over 561,000 views at last count. It appears that the worldwide soccer community has started weighing in on the supposed goal line controversy in a big way.
Really? Where? There is Not one peep about it on the referee forum, although they are going on ad-nauseum about the Chapman yellow/no PK incident.
OK, maybe not in every corner in the world but I think YT is a good barometer of what is currently trendy in the world of footy. When was the last time, apart of maybe the WWC, any clip of women's soccer has trended highly so quickly (btw, the views have passed 700,000 in just three days, already more than the number of views on the ESPN YT video of US-Brazil from the WWC)? I remember there's a vid on YT where a goalie (I think from Iceland) was having all kinds of trouble handling simple balls, that has gotten a massive amount of views. The Hope Solo save would probably be the opposite of that. Let's see where things are next month.
Are they watching it because of the controversy or because of the amazing save that made SportsCenter's Top 10?
Most of the comments that I've seen tonight are about the goaline controversy. Some have brought up a possible offsides on Kaylen Kyle (as well as the foul right after that wasn't called).
Solo was taking a pre-menstrual medication that contained an illegal substance for Olympians and this resulted in further testing by the USADA to see if she tested positive for anything else. She didn't, and she apologized for her mistake. The medication was prescribed by a physician and she was taking it as it was originally intended to be taken. Article here. Nothing major, and she is allowed to play in the Olympics.
I'm fine with it not being major. I just don't understand why it isn't. For what it's worth, likely due to name recognition, it is even being reported on local sports radio in the DC area.
If it were from anything other than a prescription drug from a physician that was taken when it was intended I think it'd be major. This just seems like a simple mistake.
